I subscribe to a decent amount of commentary channels and I've seen zero coverage of this, Can't believe the commentary community is this whipped by this faggot considering how edgy they claim to be lmao. It would be pretty entertaining to see how much sweeping any of these guys (especially turkey tom) would do if they where to actually cover this.
On another note, I feel like Turkey Tom is in the makings to be a good candidate for a thread, something tells me he's going to slip up somehow soon, something bigger than his admission of cheating.

I think shit is just finally reaching a fever pitch for the consequences of drama based Youtube content. It's gotten to the point where no drama is off the table even if there is little evidence or impact for calling it out. Being a drama Youtuber eventually puts a target on your back because you make a living from being a catty bitch. So people naturally will inevitably dig something up on you, and by god people will find something if it's there. We're at the point akin to that one scene from Pirates of the Caribbean, where they run out of cannonballs, so they just start shooting whatever is within arms reach out of their cannons.
This is also why slop is a problem now. When sponsors started happening it lowered the bar for anyone to make videos with no merit based requirement to make it a career like before. Before, you had to actually make consistently good content to make a living, and even then you didn't make much, you did it out of love for the job, a lot of OG Youtubers had a day job. Being able to make a decent living off online content used to be the exception. Now all you need is a trendy topic, and a lack of integrity, then some multimillion dollar scam company from another country will give you money to read their script and promote their absolute scam of a product. Just a couple easy videos and suddenly you're an 18 year old that is making six figures. It's just another vehicle for idiots to make money for corporations now, instead of a place to create content that real artists want to create, the past generation did it, but the new generation just sees Youtube as a means to "get that bag". It feeds into this antisocial mentality among young people that it's fine to set aside morals for personal enrichment, and somehow anything is justifiable as long as you're making money for it. Personally I think that is part of why this is being so universally ignored and a huge cultural impact that people rarely bring up. It tacitly gives other young people permission to perpetuate this sentiment, and that is a very dangerous sentiment to have in my opinion.
I can only hope that I am correct when I predict this is a bubble. Between adblockers and Google being cut out of Youtube revenue via sponsors, I can't imagine they will allow this for very long. There's too much money flowing through too many idiots for this not to implode on multiple levels. Then we can go back to the good old days where if you stop making good content then you get to go back to being a wagie like you deserve.
Just imagine all the jokes we can make after TCD (Total Commentary Death). More like Turkey Farmer Tom, more like Nick works at De Oreo factory, more like BlowsBlacks in the alley for change, more like TommyC the inside of a casket after he kills himself.

Old youtube is dead and no matter if total commentary death happens or not, this behavior is too ingrained into modern internet culture that it will just come back again.
It is like aids but that's why this won't change because you can't fix aids, it just spreads and infects more places.
Any place that gives them money they will be there contuining the behavior, that's why so many of them stream now because it's even less effort for same amount of profit.
The people will change in this place, but this community been around for literal decades at this point, and is an entire genre of content itself now.
People inspired by TurkeyTom and others will just come to take their place and repeat the cycle until the internet gets unplugged ultimately.
