YouTube Commentary Community - You know shit's about to get real when the cartoon avatar crosses their arms!

Catching up on the Mr Best telegram leaks (old shit from last year) and my god, all these commentary youtubers are soulless faggots
I watched some of them for braindead entertainment, but it really opened my eyes to how big and mainstream the lolcow commentary scene is in 2025 and how it's not a niche online community anymore. People have "connections" and private circlejerks where they pre-plan videos and divert attention from some creeps (Chris Tyson) because it's not approved by the youtube overlords.

It's unavoidable that these big commentary youtubers will exist alongside the lolcows and farms, because normalfags will reach out to them with exclusive information, but it's important to keep in mind how coordinated and easily paid off they are.

Danknet uploaded his first video in over a year and a half.

If aboortion is legal, then why does it matter if they abort the babies to get the stem cells? Either criminalize abortion/baby murder or let the man do his weird science experiments. At least he was trying to do something interesting with his money, most billionaires just buy an island and fuck kids.

The only real bad thing Nygard was allegedly doing was abortions, which is horrible but it is legal. Seems like a contradiction in the legal system if you can abort kids for fun or whatever women abort babies for but Nygard cant abort them to live forever or whatever he was trying to do. I forget.

He diddled teenagers and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. He hired a prostitute to sleep with his young sons against their will. He was part of a sex trafficking ring.

Nygard wasn't growing the cells in his own body, he asked his gf Suelyn Medeiros to have an abortion and she declined because she doesn't believe in abortion. He was drugging and raping women, you think he'd have issues obtaining those stem cells against their consent? Yeah, let's just allow billionaires to monetize abortions, it's totally on the same level as an individual woman having a legal abortion which is a cluster of cells in her body that's not even a fetus yet.

Ignoring the rape and pedophila, Nygard essentially wanted to create fetus farms in third-world countries where he could harvest infinite stem cells for his experiments.

I really cannot make myself care about this, it already feels so drawn out. Tommy is old and Chud is a tranny chaser, what's new? Nick is probably taking the best approach here by ignoring it completely, I feel like even if this had happened back in peak commentary days this would be an after hours arc that no one remembers or talks about. Commentary aids wouldn't even clip it. It's not like anyone is getting kicked out of the house for this (what even is this house atp? the discord group chat?).

Funniest part of this to me is Nick getting shit from some of his audience for not taking a side and trying to kick someone out when people have been complaining about the opposite for years SUFFAH

Sorta a related note with this whole livestream reactions back and forth, but when do you think this streaming era will end. Will there ever be a switch back to 2018-2022 videos? It definitely makes sense to stream now, it's content people like and it prints money. Still, people have sorta gotten tired of the multi hour video essays I think (unless it's someone with actual personality like Wendigoon). "Tv retrospectives" that just summarize each episode is a meme for a reason. People shit on short form content all the time, but putting on an 8 hour vid for "background noise" is just as bad. I think it's possible that in like 5 years we'll see a return to those 20-40 minute monthly videos, probably done alongside streams/a vod channel or a second short form channel. The slop debate, as gay as it can get, has at least shown that there is some level of dissatisfaction with unmemorable daily content. Think about how popular bigbunjee was, not the edgy stuff that got him banned, but like just having a guy who dropped videos on specific topics when he could make something funny. People looked forward to watching his video on a topic, it was a moment when he dropped. People don't talk about his general coverage or takes on a drama, it is the video itself that's the memorable part. People responded really well to that. Stuff like that is why people tend to watch commentary.

Obviously if you're treating youtube as a job or are at least trying to make a lot of profit from it, you're not going to limit your output for vague creative pursuits, but that doesn't describe everyone on the platform. And creators like this have been extremely profitable/popular in other genres (Emplemon and Internet Historian post/posted irregularly with memorable/definitive videos on specific topics).

If there's gonna be a big switch it will probably require some sort of algorithm change or something that makes it more profitable. Maybe in half a decade when people get tired of long vids and viewer engagement/watch time is pushed (I mean it already is right?) people will shorten the videos to keep people watching till the end.

Multihour videos were started as a gimmick, especially in commentary. It used to be a way to documentary larp and show that you've put so much research and time into your video about the guy who called you a slur in a discord call. This worked when they were in a sea of 10-30 minute videos, but now if something is shorter than 3 hours and doesn't start with the topic's childhood and college years it's a short video. This will eventually get old, especially as holdover covid habits die out.

Speaking of Chud, these titles are getting quite absurd.
these titles are absurd.webp
His editor DK, is working overtime.

I know those thumbnails are a reference to something I've seen before, I just can't recall what.
