Genuinely devastating. Lerix got me into commentary last year with the Mamamax stuff and I would watch his stream vods basically every day, I knew he was something of a lefty (he was a big Destiny guy, was never that comfortable with racist/phobic stuff and I think he even mentioned voting Kamala) but I didn't think he'd troon out within a year of leaving. The worst thing is I hadn't read this thread in a bit and randomly opened his latest video only to be greeted by this fucking creature

I like his coverage of Katie Cruz, but I can't get over how clear he makes it that he is incapable of taking criticism. I don't know if he's purposely ignoring the actual points Chud is trying to make or if he just has a large victim complex. It's disappointing seeing him throw a tard rage because Chud Logic dared to try to give him advice.

Music content on youtube is rarely about actual music. It’s basically the modern art- commentary. People want blood. They want politics so they can feel like their interests are actually really important. The closest it gets to analysis is explaining lyrics and takes on albums/songs but even that gets dragged into larger conversations about the artists. Every art sphere has a group of people who think they’re really smart for going “erm but isn’t that guy problematic” as if they have unlocked a whole new layer of depth to the conversation around a piece of media. People who don’t give a shit about that kinda stuff generally aren’t that into online content about music because they don’t care about fighting over opinions. Everyone in the middle, including most music youtubers, either go along with that discussion or play into it because they need it to grow. Eventually those standards get too high and they crack.

Also art people are weird, usually. Especially people who get up their own ass about how underground they are and have a complex about needing to get bullied to feel like victims.

Idk if any of that actually made sense but yeah.
