yes retard they used to go over sexual abuse allegations all the time. still happens (just less common) now, de orio has recently commented on how he disliked drama feom a year ago because someone was always being raped

Just for context, that was about 5 hours of content over which he made 4-5 jokes, and he'll throw random barbs even when he's not covering someone explicitly, the YMS barbs continue to this day, for example.

I think the statement at the end was probably more telling, "I'm assuming he won't leave Vega out to dry" which is definitely a warning shot.

The stream before this one Nick wasn't going in with barbs that I remember, but it was also within a charitable range of "Tom hasn't gotten a response together yet"; that may be wearing a little thin since it's basically a week after the allegations meaningfully dropped and he hasn't said anything, not even a brief general denial + "watch this space" especially if Tom has made some representations privately which are beginning to conflict with current events.

That makes a bit more sense, it still feels weird for him to be so absolute about not saying anything just to slip in little jokes here and there. Maybe some stuff is going on behind the scenes and he thinks this will all just be inside jokes and memes in a few months.

I think so.

Tom has learned his best strategy is to brute force videos and never acknowledge it. Does it show the allegations are probably true? Yes. Does it leave people like Vega out to dry? Yes. Will he lose all his friends? Yes. But it’s the only thing that will let him hold onto his fanbase. Most of his listeners are normies who like him as background noise and will drop him for a less problematic slop video essay channel the second they catch something off about him. He dropped out of college, has no work experience since high school. He might have a lot of money, but not enough to coast off of the rest of his life. Clearly having money and being independent is very important to him, it’s a source of pride, his justification for treating people like shit.

The only way I can see this being true is if he can somehow deboonk everything, which he won’t because we have hard proof of so much already. Or, if that thing about him hating his youtube success is true and so overwhelming that he self destructs his own source of revenue by responding.

He needs to respond but it will destroy him, so he won’t respond unless he wants to be destroyed

If Tom told Nick that, and then doesn't actually respond, we are in for some fireworks since the easiest way to acquire an oreo shaped nemesis is to lie to him and/or hang him out to dry.
