There's a few people who i can name off the top of my head that I know have a back up plan and one of them is Maximilian Dood who literally plays fighting games for a living, and he's probably got so much on his hand in terms of jobs relating to film and video games he could just work that way but I don't see him burning out any time soon.
But yeah you hit the nail on the head. Youtube can be a job because let's face it, anything can be monetized. Some people think that Youtube can't be a job for ridiculous reasons. It's just like acting or stand up comedy. People come to be entertained most of the time. The problem now is that Youtube is so shit at their own site and think that they're doing good when really they're hurting themselves more. The most recent thing twitch has done in terms of scummy shit for their users and broadcasters is now Twitch Prime doesn't have ad free viewing. That's it.

All I can say is what I've said in the YTP Community thread ad nauseam: I personally don't like Behind The Meme's videos, but EmperorLemon had no right to criticize BTM for what he did, especially regarding YouTube Poop, when Emp has done shit like this. It's funny how he bitched at Stuart K. Reilly and Waymu for not worshiping the ground he walked on when he acted like pre-2014 Stu in his BTM video.

Then again, there are memes that are harmful for multiple reasons like Tidepods. I actually met Stu once in a get together and he's got this air of "try and act as presentable as possible." I used to think that Stu was a cool guy but really, he's just a guy who doesn't like popular people or popular sources for poop. The guy actively hated Walrusguy for being one of the most successful poopers (which got him into a bit of legal trouble with Colgate) and once did commentary on a guy who was saying "Youtube Poops should be considered parody" and just mentioned Walrusguy as a person who did it and Stu overreacted to fuck and went on a tirade about how he should have said "anyone else but him" while listing a bunch of people who ended up being more popular than him (at the time due to Walrusguy's account being compromised) despite the fact he's the only person who's been law'd on in any form.
