On the risk of sounding MATI, fuck Youtube and all street shitters in it
You could also write "troon" on the person being curbstomped because Google is also infested with trannycoders.

Am I the only one that barely feels like the comments are made by actual human beings? I know that a good chunk of them are but there are comment sections where it feels like the equivalent of watching those videos of two AIs "talking" to each other and it just gives an uncanny feeling.

They feel off and it keeps getting worse from there. Bots, AIs, its all illusion of human engagement.

Moments like this remind you the Dead Internet theory isnt a theory and with AIs sadly destined to become more present, you will not be able to trust what you see and read on the internet less than ever. Its kind of depressing actually, especially to those that had the internet as a special place away from the world's nonsense. The internet, at least a version of it worth engaging at all, might have its days counted.

Edit: When I think about it, forums of old like Kiwifarms might truly be the few places where you can be assured you are speaking to actual human beings, especially if you can properly say slurs (since nearly all bots and AIs are program to not say it)

The usual suspects you can find on this thread, we mention them all the time.

https://cobalt.tools/ is a good one for browsers.
The shitcoin and ponzi bots fart out a cloud of innocuous "real" comments before they deliver the payload. I can definitely smell the scam on them before they show it. It's like minesweeper, I don't have to click the thread to know it's going to end in spam. Some go 3-4 comments deep before dumping their spam.

I've felt this way about the youtube comment section since the 2010s, which to me says much less about LLM garbage as it does about the median youtube commenter, which is that the latter has been braindead retarded for a long time now. The real issue is their obscene blatant comment curation that led to the redditification of the comment section in the first place, the mass amounts of people who are probably soft shadowbanned (or close to it in practice anyway, what else is the explanation for an innocuous comment getting gassed seconds after posting) without any indication at all are likely enough to actually warrant suing their stupid jeet company.

I'm trying to sort videos I downloaded with yt-dlp and I've got a question: is it possible to learn a video's upload date without giving it a watch? You can switch to a list view in the subscriptions but even that only shows generic "X time ago" and it doesn't affect the "Videos" tab. Hovering over the "X time ago" to show precise date only works on the video page itself. I feel like I'm missing some incredibly obvious way to do it.

Code:
yt-dlp --simulate --print "%(upload_date)s" <url>
--simulate will get the data from YT but not download the video, and upload_date will be in YYYYMMDD
Code:
yt-dlp --simulate --print "%(upload_date>%Y-%m-%d)s" <url>
will print it YYYY-MM-DD etc

Why did this show up suddenly?

Jeets have completely taken over YouTube in the past 6 months. It's unbearable.
I search for literally anything and now I get a jeet talking about it.
Internet/Technology? - Jeet.
Arts and crafts? - Jeet.
Gaming? - Jeet.
American Politics? - The Hinustani Times.
I'm tempted to create a 'De-Jeet' extension to put all their videos and social media posts in a segregated "Hindu-net"

That, or results being flooded by YouTube shorts if you search for anything new — shorts also made by jeets.

Reminder, 65% of India still doesn't have access to the internet. It's just going to get worse unless an alternative appears (🌈).

unless an alternative appears
Let's be real, there's plenty of alternatives now compared to before. It's just that nobody is going to jump shit to them because they aren't as popular as YouTube, and the ones that try to be have been labeled as "evil" by the left (Bitchute, Rumble, etc... )

At this point, YouTube is a monopoly, and the people that use it to upload content have been going through years of "battered wife syndrome" that just the thought of them going somewhere else scares the shit out of them, because "money".

I don't know if Youtube will last a year with how jeet, scam, AI, shorts, and "generic smug YouTuber personality" it's become. It reminds me of the business model that Amazon and Netflix do, where they take all of their previously-acquired good consumer sentiment and slowly knock off everything while making the product worse. I wouldn't be surprised if Google's next move is creating in-house AI YouTubers, Music, and Movies so that they need to share that precious ad revenue.

Youtube isn't showing channels that I'm subscribed to. It's mostly years old videos the algorithm thinks I want to watch. They've over-curated my list and now it's worthless.
I've been getting that on the homepage for a while now. Old videos from channels I'm already subbed to, videos I've already watched, videos I partially watched before deciding I didn't want to watch the entire video, etc. Really annoying when I watch a video about something I don't normally watch and YT's algo thinks I must want to watch more of that stuff, so it floods the homepage with a bunch of similar videos.

Is this a workaround yt ads? ABP is basically useless now and yt somehow can override it and turn it off before each vid.
I mean that's not really my reason for using it. Just trying it out. uBlock Origin and AdNausem both seem to work fine to block YT ads in browser. KF seems to prefer it but I can't believe it doesn't have tabs.

Seems like a recurrent thing with Indians is how everything they touch is destroyed

Youtube, destroyed, European Nations, destroyed, India, destroyed.

Kind of an existential threat we are all just sleeping on, aint it?
