Youtube Institutes Monetization Changes - ....Really?

So earlier today, Youtube rolled out changes to its monetization setup:

Reading these, you can immediately see that they're ambiguous enough to allow widespread demonetization of virtually everything and then some. But a recent vid by Phillip DeFranco, and reports by several other YouTubers has revealed a pattern in the channels getting demonetized:

I'm hoping to Christ that this pattern isn't as insane as it seems at a glance, because fuck, man.

And for the ones crying the loudest (see the sample of spergs that CatParty posted a few pages back), they're not even the ones making any money off of youtube because they have a dozen subscribers and less than 300 views per video. Like how much ad revenue could they possibly be getting?

Maybe they're crying because they're unpopular. Gotta capitalise on that drama for views.

Also, Youtube's a boulevard of broken dreams. Plenty of wannabes who desperately want e-fame will freak out at anything they feel hurts their hopeless efforts to make a career out of their name alone.

DeFranco has a follow up video where he pretty much talks about the concerns that people had.

Let's remind ourselves of why this is probably a good thing (despite the negatives involved here.)...
To keep annoying / stupid brats like these from embarrassing themselves like this.

Nah they'll keep making those videos. A lot of them aren't even monetized in the first place because they can't get themselves verified.

Hey, if this kills off the obnoxious YouTube Drama fad that's going on right now, I say go for it Youtube.

You'd think it would, but the newly enforced ToS is more than simple "automated demonetization"
Thanks to the new TOS enforcements it's apparently also easier to flag-spam videos on smaller channels en-masse to get either videos or channels removed.
Just Yesterday (september 10th) Two channels I watch on occasion got a fucking strike because people got ass mad over trivial shit.

One being some of SiIvagunner's "Green Bean ear rape fakeout" videos triggering some angsty kiddies, and the other Being Jim (mistermetokur) angering the fucking legion of babyfurs that seem to be everywhere these days who also caught notice of the exploitability of YouTube's new system.

What's disgusting is there's a freakish amount of people defending this sort of behavior of mass flagging things they don't like, and they now seem to outnumber those who oppose them, probably because they're flagging down the people who disagree, though i can't confirm this.

it's almost like "guilty before innocent" and "non-human automation" is a bad thing
but call me crazy

Youtube is now KiddyTube. Try posting a comment or reply with a swear word in it. It'll fail to post.

EDIT: Tried it again and it's fine.
