Anybody who goes into YouTube planning to make money is stupid. Anybody who successfully makes money on YouTube is EITHER talented enough AND lucky enough to succeed OR simply lucky as fuck. If YouTube is your plan you need a new plan.

also, I don't understand the guy tweeting about everyone going to Twitch, I mean, Twitch has a different approach than Youtube. What are they going to do, record everything, edit the video and play it for everyone to see livestream? lmao
 
I've been on Youtube long enough to remember when there was zero expectation of monetary compensation. There were a few creators who'd maybe sell some t-shirts or other small merchandise but most people did it because they wanted to express themselves and their talent to the world, and that in itself was its own reward.

I miss those days.

The big social media sites in general are unprofitable or barely break even and just have massive revenue streams that they constantly sink into expansion efforts.

Its the same with Reddit, Twitter and a lot of other other smaller secondary ones (like image hosts) that you've probably heard of that went away when they were replaced with other services that are also unprofitable.

I also know science, which is why...

1] I know the rainforest is (though not likely as much as it once was) a place with lots of tress, which provide fruits & things, not to mention oxygen.

2] They don't want to admit they know you.
