Imagine writing articles about YouTube Poop in the year 2020 and can't even get the research right.
My favorite memories about YTP aren't even about these fancy Uncredibles either, but rather very old ones like these which in my opinion, were what YTP was mostly about (at least the Sky had a Weegee which was one of the classics is mentioned):
I have not seen such lunacy since I banned my crazy cousin WalrusGuy!WHO /walrusguy/ HERE?
The other thing that happened too was it gave way to YTPMVs, SoundClown mashups, and other internet influenced genres of music that focused on mashups and music editing. I noticed a lot of YTPers or similar channels went to that.YTP's are as old as YouTube itself, and Forbes is just now discovering them?
Besides, the "Golden Age" of YTP's was around the late 2000's and maybe the early 2010's, and it's long gone, and thanks to YouTube's automated copyright bots and new censorship policies, I don't think it will ever come back.
Many of the better YTPs would source obscure material as well, or even stuff like commercials. That was a refresher from spaghetti memes, but they wouldn't get many views. The narrative part was also what made EmpLemon's stuff so good. His poops had way more effort in them than dinner-spaghetti-pingas.
I used the search function of Twitter and found out he's on HRT as you'd expect. YTPers coming out as trans isn't uncommon as the thread we have on YouChew (a YTP community site) showed. His YouTube channel was originally DaThings1 but he also made a second channel for talking about mass media that gets fewer views by far. He also had an autistic obsession with making "clean" YTPs and it shows.Literally who?
Not gonna lie, I always loved King Of The Hill YTP's as a general rule.
They were in this weird middle category in that they weren't completely overused like most of the "spaghetti dinner" YTP sources but they also weren't super obscure either, and were sort of their own weird subgenre of classic YTP's.
Ah shit, I liked his older poops (Wow, It's Made! is a classic idgaf what anyone says). Yet another one lost to troondom...I used the search function of Twitter and found out he's on HRT as you'd expect. As for making YTPs, he was not the most iconic YTPer but he made a few that got a million or so views.
