YouTubers (or certain types of Youtubers) that make you irrationally angry. - Because we can never have too much seething about the current state of YouTube

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I've heard some youtubers say whilst they don't like preaching about subscriber numbers/graphs, they claim mentioning it 'actually works' to bring in subscribers.

I've never bought this argument.

Yes being obnoxious brings in more money (maybe; see below). You can also eat dog food for nutrition and wear a trash bag instead of a rain coat.

There is such thing as having standards. You don't have to debase yourself and scramble for every nickle and dime. Is being chill really a lost art?

And in any case I'm not convinced it's true. Everytime Linus Sebastian claims that he regrets (uh huh) unhinged jaw thumbnails but he "has to" I just think, "are you sure? Have you tested this hypothesis? Have you tried acting like a human instead?"

Anyway, thread tax: lately I've been avoiding people with British accents and it has made me happier and more productive. So when I click on a video and the first thing I hear is "OI AMERICANS ARE DUMB INNIT" I smash that tab close button.

Sarah Z and her psuedo intellectual overly bloated "essays" have done nothing but made media discussion worse. I hate her smug disposition, how she drinks from a glass on camera to seem QUIRKY. Her and Tranny Emily can't be bothered to reread their scripts and notice how often they spam sufficit to say over and over. For how smart they claim to be they sure don't understand how to write an essay that isn't a rambling pretentious mess.

No idea why but I got a video in my recommended of some tranny taking over an hour to talk about their gay shipping fantasy. If you're talking about gay shipping and use the phrase ludo narrative unironically to look smart please neck yourself thanks.

Wannabe breadtubers / Niche media analysts.
No I don't want to watch your 4 hour marxist analysis of Barbie, Shrek, why Paw Patrol is cop propaganda or why old japanese game is pro LGBT. I also hate when they disguise the video as a analysis of niche media or nostalgic "Hey remember thing?" and then start spewing political points half-way in. If you're into something niche get ready to pack up because now that sloptuber said that the old shit you're into represents the trans experience and has marxist themes somehow you won't be able to discuss the thing without sloptuber zoomie watchers arguing with you without having played the thing.

There's a shocking amount of people who have a Kermit The Frog voice, and they should stop making videos.

Gaming youtube is full of worthelss niggers who just scrape reddit posts for whatever game they're covering, read the comments of the post and go "now let me know what you guys think down below". Bonus points if they're also the "always positive" type who see any amount of criticism as trolling or hate.

True-crime & mystery youtubers have this absolutely grating habit of drawing out the last word of their sentencessss... I guess in an attempt to give what they're saying some weeeight.. it almost reminds me of how leafy would speak or Chillz. The last word/syllable is stretched with a downward inflection.

Guitar youtube is plagued with people who unironically cannot play their own songs. They'll play one small section over and over and over until it's perfect, sometimes even recording each individual note separately, and piece it together into a full playthrough. It's incredibly obvious and I do not care how crazy the shit is once it's "complete". If you can't do it in real time, in one go, you're a fucking hack. Learn to play your goddamn instrument. This is why drum and bass youtube is superior.

And fitness youtube is full of DYELs and fake natties on the men's side, and thirst trap thots on the women's(who are 9/10 fake natty as well) who'd be better off just starting an onlyfans. The only use youtube fitness has is to see how a lift is done if you arent sure how to do it.

Everyone that uses "PROBLEMATIC" in the title.

If you use the word problematic unironically you either a faggot or a woman (which is also pretty gay).

As soon as I hear "problematic", I know all of the political believes of the author.

"Problematic" means "I'm gonna overanalyse the shit out of this random thing and say the most obvious modern day takes, because I'm looking for asspats from my flock".
I hate faggots that use "problematic" as a substitute for "problem" more. Problematic is an adjective, not a fucking noun.

Ever since CallMeCarson got big there have been lots of channels that are focused around a Discord friend group's laughing in a group chat that they send memes to. It was slightly funny when Carson did it, and then it became unbearable after people started to gather up their unfunny ass friend groups to manufacture "funny moments" together.

Use of the words 'blow the case wide open' on any true crime channel. Also any behavioural analyst bullshit where they claim to read body language.

And it is completely irrational, but people who hold little lapel mics between their fingers, instead of just clipping them on drive me crazy and I can't watch.

One thing that boils my blood is when someone, mostly from progressive types, misrepresent and strawman another side's arguments/opinions and it's always on purpose, or attempting to act as some sort of mediator during some drama, but it's pretty obvious they don't align with the "chud" side. It's doubly annoying when they stuff their 2+ hour long video essays with so much misinfo and petty nonsense that I can't help but feel is a snide tactic to dissuade others from debunking them, since it's an exhausting amount of bullshit to sit through.

Another is when something popular or niche gets a reboot/remake/adaption/whatever, there's suddenly wave after wave of artificial hype vids getting normies and newfags caught up to speed so that they don't get FOMOd and feel left out when consooming the lastest FOTM. It even happens with internet drama and whatever's trendy atm too, where everyone and their mother makes a "I HAVE AN OPINION!" on the subject and/or milk it for views with multiple vids for however long it lasts.
Also, people milking a subject after their previous vid got millions of views. Some fag who makes those "Gaming for a Non-Gamer" vids comes to mind. It's just some "wholesome" pseudo-game dev armchair psychology video essay of his normie wife playing vidya that keep getting millions of views. They're not the least bit interesting, insightful or funny either. It's just weird hearing some dude gab about his wife in the 3rd-person.

The YT title game is also fucked with clickbait. "I never expected this" or "The developers knew you'd try this" or something vaguly titilating and it's either someone's unfunny stream highlights or outright timewasting clips. It's worse when multiple youtubers/streamers waste so much bandwidth having 3 - 4 other channels to spread their influence across the net, clogging the algo with this garbage. I could go on and on about other shit that bothers me, but I'll just list off the others that came to mind: Tier lists, channel intros, having other e-celebs read off screencapped posts, "I watched/played every show/game"
Any faggot who unironically do the open mouth soyface for their thumbnail
That and pretty much any FOTM reaction image that becomes an exploitable, especially the different renditions people make of Nu Chad. I never found the Virgin/Chad meme all that funny to begin with, but there's something about seeing Nu Chad in particular that irritates me. I think it's mainly the people who use it do so "ironically".

Some people I just don't like the personality. Atozy is one that comes to mind. I don't know why, I just can't stand watching one of his videos. There are many more, but I usually block them.

I fucking hate these channels who have the "It's over", "He's done" type of thumbnails on every fucking minor update on a developing situation and already have 15 like it on the same person.

I hate these fake AI videos with 3d animated shapes telling wild stories about the cartel and other invented criminals, theft and revenge tales.

I hate people like De Orio and WillyMacshow for the unedited pile of garbage they drop. One thumbnail and title, 3 hours of some retards talking about random shit and playing fortnite.

I want to punch James Shawcross in the face so bad. I also hate cartoon avatar people talking about current topics/ drama shit. It's so incredibly insufferable to have someone talking about sam hyde with a fucking beardo avatar when you can just watch the video he's talking about.

It doesn't make me 'angry,' but I roll my eyes whenever someone is pretentious enough to label their mediocre YouTube video a "video essay."
Thats funny because I always thought "Video Essay" was an admission it didn't meet "Journalism" or "Documentary" standards.
"I wrote an essay and made a video" seems to be the bare minimum of scripted video content, no?

This will be my understanding going forward, thank you for sharing it with me.

If I think of it like that, then I guess my complaint goes that they are really really bad at writing what they claim to be essays.

Why do most bartending youtubers either yell at me or talk to me as if they're trying to seduce me?
And Michellebellexo's face just looks weird to me to the point that I scroll past immediately when she pops up in my feed.
