Lessons in meme culture is , honest to god , my least favorite you-tuber ever.
Hes literally just behind the meme/know your meme with the coating of intellectual takes on memes , he legit made a video about how people filling the lebron james space jam doll with water was a protest againist capitalism and Hollywood , and his video on the bloomer meme where he spent the last minute talking about how a bloomer meme having the lyrics to "erika" in it was in poor taste because of christchurch.

No matter what I do this fucker won't leave my recommended, even when I keep clicking "don't recommend me this channel" which for some reason works with literally every other channel I use it on.

I guess youtube really wants me to see some shitty pretentious take on shitty zoomer memes.

LinusTechTips, and all associated channels, now I don't hate them per say, they're ok especially as far as big YouTubers, and some content they make like secret shop's genuinely good. But I really don't like their humor, and their titles and their thumbnails are on the fucking same level as Troom Troom life hacks video and I hate them so much. I don't hate them, but I sure as shit don't like them as much as most people on YouTube, and they're exactly one level away from being put on my YouTuber shitlist.

I'm gonna be real here, LiMC is completely pretentious. He tries way too hard by chasing onto trendy memes, but explaining them very half-assed like and with a monotone voice. And say what you want about Behind the Meme, and I can't believe I'm defending him in this situation here, but despite him being the same as LiMC, at least his vocal range sounded a bit more energetic and I could see some appeal here, even if BtM sucked. There is nothing to like with Lessons in Meme Culture, however. It's the same exact hot garbage as BtM (both of which chasing shitty trendy shit to appeal to zoomers), but even more boring.

Any channel that does “The Rise and Fall of…” videos that isn’t Fredrick Knudsen. I saw a huge uptick in these earlier this year and it hasn’t slowed down one bit. Every one of these is extremely formulaic and boring. Probably the most shameless offender of this crime against entertainment is InternetAjay. The similarity in his thumbnails speaks to the repetitiveness of his content.

What’s worse is some of the people he’ll cover had a rise but no “fall” to speak of. He’s done a video on Ninja who’s still an extremely successful Twitch streamer and FPSRussia who runs a pretty successful podcast. On other occasions, he’ll just be way too late to the party, like the video he made on DaddyOFive two weeks ago who’s been nuked off the internet for months, if not years.

Again, he’s just summarizing whatever source of information he chose and adding nothing to it. He’s basically converting text to speech. Not to mention this faggot always sounds like he’s on the brink of breaking into a fit of laughter, amplifying how fucking annoying his videos are. He also does collabs with YouTubers like The Right Opinion, who’s also a part of this patently unentertaining brand of content.

These people are the biggest leeches on the site and represent the lowest bar of what can pass as content. They’re literally parasites who suck the blood out of dead horses and add nothing in return. They have zero personality and they know this, which is why they choose to make a brand of video that is so formulaic that it basically requires no effort from the creator. I’m not joking when I say you can script a robot to make their videos, much like those Reddit thread YT channels.

As much as they might denounce a Logan Paul or Keemstar, their presence on the site is offensively inoffensive. They represent a creative death of the larger YouTube platform: a brand of videos that is machine like in its repetitiveness and lack of imagination that please the equally robotic algorithm for money.

Gonna have to be devil's advocate for J aubrey as he seems to not just dive but expand upon. Im pretty sure he has also done a few interviews with some of his subjects (i need ro recheck, his stuff is long as hell).

Over the years, I started to realize that most Americans (and occasionally British and Australian) are trying to ingratiate into thinking they know more about Japanese culture than the actual Japanese because they watch a lot of anime aimed towards children.

It turns out I’m not the only one, since last year Japanese YouTuber The Japanese Man Yuta made this video about the Trash Taste podcast, where they talked about how most foreigners are so harsh and close minded towards Japan and Japanese culture, despite the fact that they are foreigners themselves who would do the same thing in a heartbeat:

Im sick of hearing salty gaijins on yt and online in general piss and moan about how "BOO HOO I WENT TO A COUNTRY WHERE IM AN OUTSIDER AND GOT TREATED LIKE AN OUTSIDER! HOW DARE THEY NOT CHANGE THEIR WAYS TO MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE". Regardless of your opinions on their culture, if you plan on living in Japan or any other country for that matter, you either integrate or you get cast out, that's just the way it is. And of course they don't see any hypocrisy in them expecting a Japanese person moving to the west to integrate.

I'm also not a fan of when Japanese youtubers make videos criticizing their own country and culture, if they have genuine problems with their own culture that's perfectly fine, but it always comes off like they're pandering to Japan haters.

Is 'alt humor' even a thing anymore? I keep seeing milktoast mf who have the blandest of takes out of fear of losing their channel, or the few who do go out are killed off or circle the drain.
I know I am a little old for the Filthy Frank style of goofs now but I did appreciate his style of skits, and commentary. Cant find anyone like that who uploads regularily.

I'm not taking a word of his ex, but stuff in these screenshots aligns with the stuff he said himself, only he portrays himself as a cool guy in his videos ofc. Screenshots can be altered and burner Facebook accounts can be made, but doesn't change the fact that he did fuck an underage girl and that he was questioned by the FBI for pedo related stuff. He said that himself. Also he was shitting on his exes and Charls in his videos and Charls never shat on him publicly. It doesn't matter that he never mentioned his name, we all know who was he referring to. Also he obviously pays for friends cause no one wants to be around him, cause his whole act isn't an act you can see that pretty much everyone who was around him distanced themselves from him except Nick, but he wasn't around for a period of time. We all know for a fact that he pretended to be homeless to get people to feel sorry for him, which we did and couple of years later he bragged about crashing his dad's s class Benz and lancer Evo as a teen.

His content sucks ass though no matter what you think of him as a person. As i posted in the thread above last thing I laughed at was insta story of his where he rants about COVID. He's literally internet daddy simulator like JBP, except edgier and it doesn't matter who's advice of those two people follow they're gonna get fucked big time.

Saying this as a former fan. He was my favorite comedian and content creator in general and his cult following is gonna disregard any bad thing he does, maybe even I would if he was actually producing entertaining content

MxR Plays. His Skyrim mod reviews are fair use and I do not have an issue with them. I have issue with the reaction content he does with his girlfriend. It is lazy, boring, and I hate the "reaction" faces in the thumbnails. I do not know how MxR, SSSniperWolf and others who do a similar style of content are still doing this without problems. Back in the day I remember people like Jinx and other reaction channels were called out for doing effectively the same thing. What changed that made this kind of content okay?
