Unsurprisingly, his latest video is him talking about MrBeast, but actually talking about himself.

I've always found him offputting.

He's just a boring pushover, really. Boring because he never really gets too spicy in any direction so he never hurts his youtube bag. He tries to make everyone happy by not really presenting any sort of offensive opinions but I think one day that is going to bite him in the ass.

Any "X reacts to Y" video I see. This format is super popular to this day. Bonus points if it's some sort of "expert" reacting to a movie or TV show. "Lawyer reacts to Better Call Saul!!!" I despise these videos, who gives a shit what some unrelated lawyer thinks of a TV program (that no doubt used lawyers as consultants to make the show accurate anyways.) And hear this "expert" say bottom of the barrel commentary like "yeah! that's really accurate!" I see these vids get millions of views.

Holy shit, i watched one of these videos and had my recommends flooded with this bullshit afterwards, there's thousands of these. Absolute gutter trash content.

None of it is really bullshit. Yeah he has really fallen off wagon, He has been making the same content and saying the same exact shit for like 3 years now, execpt less caring and more unfunny and cucked by YT with each video. And he knows it himself and fucking hates doing it, but then does it anyway and is depressed by it and tries to cope with drugs. Which has only resulted in him becoming more depressed, less funny and talented and has melted his brain into goo. And despite being so cucked by YT and hating it, he refuses to put any kind of effort on other platforms. Sure he has had and account on Bitchute and Odysee as well I think, but he did zero shilling and exclusive content for them, only putting a link in the description of his videos which no one checks anyway. and then when his accounts on there get zero views, he whines that going to other platforms is pointless and that YT is the only platform worth being on, despite putting in zero effort to growing his audiences on there.

And this does actually somewhat hurt me since he was the person that gave me the nudge into the rabbithole and started my awakening, and I do somehow see alot of myself in him and really empathize with him, despite us being pretty much nothing alike. And his humour did really klick with me and I still find his old stuff funny. But when he started livestreaming with that really really unfunny Keemstar's ex bitch, it was just the nail in the coffin for me. It was just over and I realized the damage done to his brain by drugs and nihilism is much worse than I though it was, and that there is gonna be no way back for him.

You reminded me how i really want this culture war stuff to be over with in entertainment. I'm as "anti woke" as the next guy but every time i see a new game or movie i know about 4 or 5 channels i stopped paying attention to who are gonna have videos for the rest of the month because there's gonna be some dumbass discourse that has both of the sides REEEEing at each other.

They waste police time with pointless, almost sovereign citizen level arguments with police and the public. The US one are all about turning up to a police station and demanding your 1st amendment rights to be an asshole to the front desk while holding a gun. Shouting like a Karen when the police try to check your ID and make sure you aint about to unload on them like a nutter who has main character syndrome. Then act like your human rights have been violated by 62 hours of torture because they threw your nutter ass in to the street and tell you they will put your ass in a cell if you come back. There is too many of these assholes to list. They are all the same content wise.
The UK versions of them have 2 sort of prominent assholes. DJ Audits a guy who borderline trespasses on industrial work sites and starts arguments with the security staff and mangers of the site,over how far over the line he is to film the security. Stand offish and belligerent to people trying to do their jobs, and keep a site secure. Got punched a few times, because he baits people in to doing it with endless circular arguments.
Next is Charles Veech. Ex conspiracy theorist extraordinaire(9/11 truther), now is a public blight in Manchester city centre. Flim's the public and starts fights and arguments with crackheads and chavs. Film's the police when they are trying to control said crackheads and chav's. Get's in to fights and arguments with store security and also gives shit edgy hot takes on current events when they happen.
Yet these people have fans who are really in to this bullshit. I understand filming the police does keep them "honest", but what these auditors do is just silly and just a waste of time.

I've spoken of my hatred of "auditors" on another thread before, and they're just obnoxious pricks. No one generally gives a shit if you're filming, but if you're being an asshole about it, yeah, people are going to notice and want you gone, because you're actively disturbing the peace. Auditors wouldn't have such a reputation if people knew more about them and just generally ignored them. All they're doing is pushing for a police confrontation so they can file a lawsuit. Now, I get it. There are genuine asshole cops that'll just pull on you out of nowhere, but a good majority of these fuckwits are actively antagonizing people and itching for confrontations. It's beyond annoying, and people really do need to be more aware of what's going on. The only winning move with auditors is to not play their game.

I actually think the majority of gaming YouTube is filled with circlejerking dumb fucks it's just echo chamber videos for people who have basic reddit video game opinions like undertale is the deepest game ever made and hollow knight is objectively the best metroidvania because its pretty and long. If they're not spouting common reddit hot takes they're sucking off some shitty Nintendo gimmick product, shilling ports of games from a decade ago on the switch or shovelware indie games that have shitted up every digital game storefront for the last generation and a half.

I barely pay attention to indie games anymore since a lot of them are made by these same types of people. Indie games in general are gaining more issues with the mainstream gaming industry due to the fact that they are being ran by people viewing politics over entertainment. If it isn't that it's people shilling another roguelike, metroidvania, or "nostalgic" platformer that can be found by the hundreds on Steam.

While creepypasta had it's moment, let's not pretend that (similar to analog horror) there weren't tons of awful fucking creepypastas. That said, yeah, we basically hit "peak analog horror" with urbanSPOOK.

AH is the new creepypasta as creepypasta also went through that end phase where it is so bloated and saturated people stopped caring about it. AH is slowly going down that road because more peolpe are realizing curated and sterile the genre is. UrbanSpook was the best thing that happened because it shook this boring community to its core with something that was actually interesting and worth talking about instead of the same AH involving jumpscares, heavy religious theming or big scary alien monsters for the 1000th time.

I am once again reading a thread in order but i agree here.
I mentioned it before but Sidescrollers is one of the channels i was talking when i mentioned I'm tired of the "culture war" side of youtube. Synthetic Man is another one where he can be entertainment but like most of these peolpe they go over the same points over and over. There's only so many times you can say something sucks because it is "woke" just like how twitter folks call everything racist, sexist or whateverphobic before it gets old.

It's kind of insane how much youtube pushes them. I can watch Forgotten Weapons all day, and never get another guntuber recommend, but 10 seconds of "CIA flying aircraft carrier?" and it's endless videos about stupid ideas that Lockheed or Boeing tried to trick the military into paying for.

1. A good chunk of them lie about having never listened to songs before. The title will be 'FIRST TIME LISTENING TO ____!!' and 30 seconds into the song they will go "Oh I recognise this! I didn't realise it was them!" so it's a way for them to lure people to their content and then save face by getting away with not knowing a very popular song initially. Or you have clickbait people like Alex Hefner that blatantly lie about going 20+ years of your life without listening to a universally known song.

2. Every one of these music 'reaction' videos are fake positive reactions. They are purposefully giving good reviews of the music they listen to entice you to watch their content. They know that 90% of their audience on a video are people who purposefully sought out that video since it is music they like themselves, so they pander to your music taste so you watch more of their reactions to your favourite music. You will have some channels that honestly criticise music, but 99% of reaction channels are throwing out fake reactions for clicks.

There's only so many times you can watch someone tell you your taste in music is amazing before you realise that they're all just blatantly lying for views.

There's a guy i kind of watch sometimes that reacts to gaming music and he is a composer so it's interesting for him to give some interesting breakdown on how the music was made instead of just someone giving you pointless positives. Chances are i like the song so i don't wanna hear someone tell me how much they like it and at the very least they can give incite on the intricacies of how the songs are composed. My only issue and it is the biggest issue is that he pauses way too fucking much. I understand the point of it as he wants to give his thoughts right when it happens but i can make a whole rant about how i have a sort of like-hate relationship with the reaction side of youtube in general.

Is it String Player Gamer? In his case I don't really mind the pausing cause I don't have any music know how, and he was more tolerable for me compared to other composer/producer reactions. My only problem is the music picks really, certain ips just dominated the uploads (ultrakill, pizza tower, terraria). I get its probably from his patreon voting list but it does get too tiring at times.

Yep that is him but i've gotten used to it so it's a little less annoying than my initial finding but it can still get on my nerves. But like i said he breaks down music as a composer and while i am more an illustrator not a musician it's still interesting learning about what goes on behind the scenes.
