YouTubers you hate that everyone else likes

JJ McCollough, he's gone from vaguely interesting Canadian politics guy to just constantly ranting about how Trump is going to end democracy and the world despite being a rich Canadian.
Him and Kraut have gone full TDS over the last week or so (not actually certain that Kraut wasn’t already TDS but it definitely ramped up hugely after Trump won again).

JJ did a Q&A with himself on his substack after Trump won and this fucking paragraph in the intro:
In the aftermath of last night, I’ve been having a lot of conversations with friends. Because I am a political person, people expect me to have a lot of deep thoughts on what has transpired. And I suppose I do, because I have trained my mind to work like that. But I am also quite miserable and at times like these I wish my mind worked some other way. As I walked the streets last night to clear my head, I once again found myself consumed with jealousy of the people laughing with their friends and talking about other things.

He fell down that rabbit hole? I'm surprised, I thought he was one of those that actually had an independent train of thought within him. Hell I really like the video that he did on Wikipedia being bad that many people hated. Oh well, another victim to the TDS virus.

And to answer the thread title, I'll go with two in the classic reddit-aligned autismo sphere: Bright Sun Films and Summoning Salt.
Bright Sun Films is a Wikipedia regurgitator with a horrible inflection that grinds my gears to no end. Summoning Salt... I dislike him a lot. He never varies his presentation, always picks the popular games to content over, always speaks in that same uber-profound way, and, most importantly, has made everyone making anything relating to speedrunning/video game history content copy his style to the letter. It's to the point where any time I hear "HOME - Resonance" start up I have to instantly close the video because of how fucking overplayed that song is. I never want to hear it again.

I hate Cas Van De Pol with a passion, his channel has become a void of regurgitated slop.

I don't even think these can adequately be described as parodies, cause they don't even make fun of the original work, they just do it again but "funnee cause on tha innernet"

I know it doesn't matter but it depresses me that even animation has reached mainstream levels of low effort factory blandness on youtube. The days of Oney or psychicpebbles making disturbing parodies are long dead.

The worst part is how many people treat them like serious critics...
Always remember, no mater how "based" you act or how much you try to present yourself as being against the letfoid slop shitting out of Hollywood's ass, you can never escape being British.

It will always be a part of you and it's an automatic -100 in any kind of political rightward attitudes. Always.

As for a guy I fuckin hate that everyone else sucks off, gotta be this faggot.

Painfully unfunny.

In fact I saw this guys videos pop up in a shitty Z-movie by a guy called Matt Speace (all his crappy home movies are on amazon prime for some reason) called R.E.G.I.N.A. I AM, and I think it demonstrates pretty clearly the type of people that consume this guys slop.

This guy has the exact face of a Millenial writer, the kind that made the Saints Row reboot's story and dialogue.
He looks like a soyjack.

Read the comments, watch the video. They live in an echo chamber, yet they're the "intellectual" ones. They're the tolerant ones, the ones that are "always up for discussion"... as long as you fit in a very specific checklist of buffoonery. Can't be anything but a radical leftard who yells at clouds and asks for left-leaning totalitarian regimes and WEF Globalism (same deal lol, except more jewish).
Screw him and whoever follows that retard.
also: "What most people miss"? What did they miss? Ever since Trump got elected in 2016 the lefists have been chimping out in the whole internet about it, citing "idiocracy" every 4 second

Pretensions of intellectual/moral superiority in something that has long been revealed to be pro wrestling for people who think they're too smart/moral for pro wrestling will never cease to amuse me.

I'll never not laugh at the people screaming we live in idiocracy because someone they don't like was voted into office or the US education system sucks compared to 50 years ago.

Motherfucker we don't live in a post-economic apocalypse where we irrigate our fields with Gatorade, teach that Hitler used dinosaurs to fight the UN, have 40 children in a trailer park, or live in Judge Dredd style megacities that are falling apart because no one knows how to repair anything. It's not that bad, and you're not that smart.

The entire concept behind the movie was as simple as "what if the entire world was like a Walmart at 3AM?". It's genuinely not that deep.

Seeing J.J. McCollough go full retard was really sad for me. I was a long time subscriber, and hell, I've even shared some of his based-adjacent videos to Reddit's r/videos just to get downvoted by angry trannies. Some of his old content like his criticisms of Wikipedia, Justin Trudeau, and Simon Whistler were gold to farm Reddit salt. He also made some interesting videos like "your town isn't unique", where he goes through and points out that a lot of seemingly-unique quirks to local regions are actually widespread. For example, every city says their drivers are the worst. Every city says their regional sandwiches are superior. Every city has jokes about how notoriously bad their roads are. Every city has some local Irish pub that people believe is some historical building but in reality is just a cookie-cutter template of kitschy Irish memorabilia.

Whenever J.J. got political in previous years, it was always from a factual neutral standpoint, such as "This is what the Watergate Scandal was, and here's how it impacted future politics and journalism" -- and never anything along the lines of endorsing a particular American presidential candidate that he's not even able to vote for in the first place -- and then melting down like a little bitch when said candidate that he can't vote for doesn't win. What a douche.

"You believe we're living in Idiocracy because Trump got elected twice. I believe we're living in Idiocracy because of third world migrants, social media brainrot, DEI, and a competency crisis. We are not the same."

That dude is the fakest most generic person in existence, and people think watching his channel makes them actual horror fans. I watched that "In Search of Darkness" documentary about horror movies of the 80s, and he ruined it. Everyone they interview talks normally but he's still doing "Youtube host man" voice, it's so jarring seeing someone talk genuinely about movies they remember, and then suddenly this mannequin comes out and acts like this documentary is yet another generic slop video.

Idiocracy, even though it's made by a liberal Mike Judge, is way too racist for leftards. The whole premise of Idiocracy is eugenics, and implying genetic differences bring societal decline is GIANT social faux-pas for a leftist. Of course the pill is easier to swallow when you show rednecks as low IQ instead of Arabs and blacks, but it's still there.

I'm not giving this crap a view, so someone's gonna have to tell me if he mentions eugenics in it.

Very minute and MATI of me to sperg about a cooking Youtuber, but something with Nick DiGiovanni just doesn't sit right with me. Something about him just seems so smug.
On the topic of cooking youtubers, I fucking hate Joshua Weissman and Babish with a passion, cooking itself is filled to the brim with pretentious elitist twats but these 2 really hammer how obnoxious cooks tend to be, every recipe and action they do require expensive and rare ingredients so only their kind can cook whatever the fuck they make videos on, hit me with the hat I'm that MATI.

For a long time, I have been really tired of the fetishism for anything and everything foreign that cosmopolitan liberals seem to be obsessed with. It's particularly present in food; liberals know it, and are obsessed with telling people how good immigration is for bringing food enlightenment to the disgusting, culturally impoverished Anglo-American masses.

They act so smarmy and pretentious over things that differ from each other in the most absurdly tiny ways imaginable. Let's be honest, your 'bibimbap' obsession doesn't make you enlightened or culturally superior: they are a bunch of shredded vegetables.

Getting into the realms of mild conspiracy theory here, but given how out of character his sudden NOOO NOT TRUMP thing was I wonder if it was some kind of three line whip (or, more mildly, some kind of incentive offered) from Nebula that all their political-adjacent creatives had to put out some anti-Trump content in the run up to the election?
