Dylan entered the game knowing exactly how to market himself, he picked a simple identifiable character and stuck with it the whole way through. In the eyes of those at upper management, there is not much that separates Zach from the average HSTS that loves to wallow in self-pity.

But the number one thing that separates Dylan and Zach is that when Dylan gets hatemail he does not sperg out like this:

The Phantom scene........ oh Lord. The Raoul is really overdoing it. Zach's voice is fine, his acting didn't stand out as egregious for a high schooler or however old he is here, but it's unlikely he would ever get cast in that part nowadays. The typical Phantom casting veers toward baritone/low tenor, despite high tenor Michael Crawford originating the role. I can see some elements of Crawford's style in his voice. But high-voiced Phantoms should go for an ethereal, ghostly vibe instead of [limp wrist]. You can see the difference in vocal interpretations when they have the two Phantoms on at the end of the video. Baritones can provide a lot more power, while tenors can play up the insanity more.

I find it fascinating that Dylan and Zach both were in musical theater before trooning out. The most gay-friendly industry on earth. There are also musicals being written every year about sort of sad, plucky gay boys finding love that would work well for them. I don't really understand their thought process in transitioning beyond Coof Brain and maybe just being sad they weren't good enough for Broadway.
