"Zillennials", who do you identify with more?

As a millennial you people are complete fucking faggots, and I hope nobody tries to emulate anything you do. Otherwise we're doomed to a culture of people trying to "recreate the magic" of AOL chatrooms, Josta cola and Catdog.
Nigga wtf is a AOL chatroom? what gen z is trying to recreate that shit? absolutely nuts

There's some zoomers that are strangely interested into how the internet used to be. You can look up neocities and see it for yourself. Idk why it happens but it does from time to time

Zoomers realize how fucked everything is and want to retvrn, they just weren't conscious before everything was fucked so they don't know what to retvrn to

I was born in 1984. Back in the early and mid 2000's when I was reading about the Millennial generation online (using dial up) Millennials were 1984 to some time in the mid 90's, Since then it's been retconned to the early 80's. People that were in their early 40's a few years ago are now Millennials. Before that they were considered Gen X just younger Gen X. I stick to the old definition of a Millennial. If you were in your early 40's just a few years ago you are Gen X. Trying to lump early Gen X in with Millennials is dumb.

Due to my choice in music some of my behaviors and so on people think I am Gen X. At least online. I mostly listen to classic rock (Boomer music) and 80's metal. I don't really care for country music much. I hate nigger music (rap). I also hate most modern music and consider it to be garbage. The same goes for movies. I don't watch a lot of new movies. Most of the movies made in the last 20 years are garbage especially in the last 10 years. There were garbage movies in the 90's but you can at least watch them without getting preached at having to see niggers faggots or whatever every few minutes or being told your bad because you are white.

I wasn't old enough to experience the 80's. I started elementary school 1989. I vaguely remember Desert Storm. I saw Jurassic Park in a theater. I was a kid in the early to mid 90's I was in my early teens in the late 90's. I saw Jurassic Park The Lost World in a theater. I was 12 at the time. Just a few months away from 13. I had a NES SNES and Genesis as a kid. I grew up with VHS tapes and cassette tapes for music. I got a Playstation in the late 90's.

My family was lower middle class or at the least just barely breaking into the middle class. I'm just another poor broke Millennial. But at least I know how to use a computer. Zoomers can't even do that.

There is no such thing as a Zillennial. You are either a Millennial or Generation Z (Zoomer).

Can't speak for everyone but I really hate social media and minimalism. Neocities is pretty neat, although I had more fun going through archives of actual geocities sites. Something about being a "webmaster" of a page that you get to make yourself is better than yet another cog in the social media machine.
But at least I know how to use a computer. Zoomers can't even do that.
I figured with smartphones being the technology of choice people would eventually not know how to work computers but I didn't expect it so soon. People don't know how to type on a keyboard, they do the two fingers type like a fucking 80 year old.

A Zoomer born in 1997 is gonna be vastly different from one born in 2007. I think there deserves to be some sub-categories
You are 100% correct. As someone who is technically a zoomer but was born, well I don't wanna say what year but let's say before September 11th, there needs to be a different cutoff.

The generation that grew up with smartphones is basically a different species from what I've seen. Their childhood is completely different from my own, I didn't have a smart phone until I was 17 and already in High-school.

Personally, I'm quite fond of the definition provided by author Jean Twenge in her book "iGen" which specifically talks about how smartphones have affected zoomers development.

Sadly a lot of them use them as a way to shill for their social media accounts, leaving the sites to rot. But there still some unique pages like this one

no such thing. If you were born in the mid 90s and are unsure of which one you are, ask yourself this: do you remember 9/11 and/or do you remember the immediate impact of it? ie, watching it happen on tv, missing school for the day, seeing the aftermath on the news, adults talking about it, etc. If yes, you are a millennial. If no, you are a zoomer.

I’m a 1984 baby as well. Heard the same thing growing up that I was considered late Gen X, then it was changed to Gen Y/Millennial, now we’re in a micro-generation of our own, Xennials, which is a whole other level of retarded.

The whole generational thing is a load of shit, just another form of astrology at this point essentially. My youngest brother was born in 1994, a full decade after me, we’re both considered millennials but had very different childhoods and teenage years. It’s stupid to think of generations in pure binary terms, that if you’re born into this time frame you MUST exhibit X amount of qualities. I had more of a Gen X upbringing and my brother had more of a Zoomer upbringing, neither one of us really identify with the standard millennial definition

There's no such thing as a "zillennial." That's fucking retarded. People born after 1997 or so are without a doubt zoomers. You're a broccoli head, get over it. You're too young to remember anything from the late 90s like all the stupid dotcom commercials, the original Pokemon, the original Playstation, etc. You're too young to remember anything from that era like Bill Clinton, the retarded 2000 election which even as a kid I thought was weird, or 9/11. You weren't old enough to really understand what the economy collapsing in 2008 meant. You never did any of the 00s shit like stupid plastic instrument games or calling people niggerfaggots on Xbox Live. You're a zoomer.
A Millennial born in 1980 is vastly different from one born in 1990. That's a decade of difference which is important seeing how fast culture and technology shift modern society. This isn't like Ancient Egypt where things stay stagnant for centuries.

A Zoomer born in 1997 is gonna be vastly different from one born in 2007. I think there deserves to be some sub-categories otherwise Generation X is just more Baby Boomers which also isn't really true.
What's the difference between a 1997 zoomer and 2007 zoomer? I think they're the same to me. It's all about TikTok, transgenderism, shitty rap music, and retarded nihilism. Although I get your point with 1980 vs 1990, the 1980 millennials are like gen lolcow probably because they're the generation that were the first "content creators" and grew up with the internet and 80s consoomer culture but didn't know not to be retarded on it, hence your Moviebobs, Patrick Tomlinsons, Nick Rekietas, and the 40-something losers who have spent most of their life posting on Gamefaqs.

Zillennials are most definitely zoomers, but you can’t compare someone who can recall 2008, even if they weren't old enough to fully understand it, to someone BORN in 2008.

Born before 9/11, born after Clinton, grew up in the 2000s. I identify with the boomers tbh and I want the lifestyle they had, good meaningful work, no forced socializing or required socializing, you had a lot of time to cultivate skills (most of the greatest generation and some boomers are classically trained in many fields, multilingual, probably good at a ton of irl stuff), less crowds everywhere, high productivity (Jack Kirby drew 6 pages a day, some authors released a book every year) so many other things. I hate millennials, I somewhat hate zoomers and I hate everybody else, people in the modern day and age are incapable of aspiring to be better and the powers that be dislike the populace being better. I do like the internet from 1999-2012 though, the only internet Ive consciously known is the post 2017 internet, I wish everything could be better :(

To be absolutely frank, zoomers need and deserve the insight, wisdom, audacity, and just ingenuity, wit and cleverness of millennials, and millennials need the spine, heart, and confidence that many zoomers have.
I'm not sure how millinnials could borrow much "spine", "heart", and "confidence" from zoomers when zoomers appear to be even more lacking in those things on average than millennials are.
