Zip Zop Zoobity Bop: The Sitcom Thread

I'd have to say one of favorite sitcoms would have to be Scrubs. Watched it a millions off Comedy Central as a young Teen. Hell i watch the whole series off Netflix two times in the past year(Expect season 4 which is beyond garage in the first half and Season 9 wasn't bad, but would be better off as a spin off show).

Oh god, does anybody remember Punky Brewster? I ended up getting the entire series.

I was practically raised on classic sitcoms, on like Nick at Nite and TVLand. Lucy was tops, followed by All in the Family and the Jeffersons, followed by Bewitched.

My family is pretty anti-american because they hate freedom so they didn't let me watch too many sitcoms when I was a kid, but whenever I got the chance I used to watch Happy Days and ALF. Then later I'd watch Fresh Prince every day, good shit man.

Idk if Gilmore Girls is considered a sitcom or not but its one of those shows I will swear to the grave I don't like and then binge watch as soon as a rerun comes on

I liked watching Dick Van Dyke, Andy Griffith, and Bewitched. I usually watched old sitcoms with the occasionally Full House and George Lopez.

Thank God for MeTv, which shows old sitcoms, ranging from the 50s to 80s. Unlike Nick at Nite and TVland.

Being a Britfag, I grew up with the likes of Blackadder, Red Dwarf, The Young Ones and Father Ted, which still stand up to this day IMO (although Red Dwarf had its share of crap seasons).

I grew up watching mostly Britcoms because I was in a rural area with no cable and the local PBS was all we could get on our antenna, so my favorites are Black Adder, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Coupling, Are You Being Served, and the like. With American sitcoms, my favorites are weird ones that most people seem to not get or got cancelled. My favorite American sitcom was "Yes, Dear", which was on for 6 seasons but never really caught on because the network kept pre-empting and changing the time slot mid-season. It's not even up for release on DVD, so YouTube is really the only place I can watch it unless TBS is showing a rerun.

Oh, and let's not forget the sitcom that start it all, I Love Lucy. That show is still funny today, whether you're autistic or not. And it's appropriate for all ages.

Such a good show. I wish they had brought back actual Jeff for the finale, but apparently the guy who played him was a big time serious Shakespearean actor and was tired of playing the character. I can understand that, but still. Shame.

I would love for there to be a device that lets you selectively erase memories so I can watch Vitameatavegimin for the first time again.

I loved Kennan and Kel as a child.
Other than that the only ones I liked were Married with Children, and The Addams Family.

I remember enjoying Scrubs and That 70's Show whenever they came on. I wasn't a devout follower of the shows, but they were fun to watch.

For Brit sitcoms: Coupling, Black Adder, Fawlty Towers, Father Ted and Dad's Army (which was about the men who were too old or unfit for Army service doing their bit to defend the shores of England).

For American sitcoms: The Dick Van Dyke Show, Coach, I Love Lucy (of course), Mr. Ed, McHale's Navy (when Tim Conway had hair), Green Acres...and does anyone else here remember My Mother The Car?

Счастливы вместе!
Necro the thread as I start getting into the Russian remake of Married With Children.

youtube autosubs sorta work on it
Russian Al is eerily similar to USA Al.

No kidding. That 70's show is unwatchable by season 8. I couldn't force my self to finish it.

They just didn't know when to pull the plug.*sigh*

Similarly, the last season of Roseanne does not exist.

I just cut Roseanne off at that point. Because her stupid obsession with using it as a testing ground for an American version of Absolutely Fabulous ruined the show. Thank the gods that abomination never came into fruition. Too bad she stupidly tanked her reboot that nullified the fiasco completely. Although honestly I think there was way too much overreaction. It's just that a grown ass woman in current year should understand the consequences of having an open mouth on social media.
