If this guy feeds his horned frogs mostly hamsters and mice (don't feel like checking his channel to find out but if he's a vore freak I can only assume that's the case) then he's going to kill it through rapid weight gain and blindness before too long. They'll eat anything you put in front of them, but they aren't really adapted to live off a diet of predominantly rodents.

Not only that, but most reptile owners will avoid live feed if they can. I got a snake, she eats rats bred to be eaten by her, they are never alive at the time because I don't want her getting hurt in the struggle.
Once, and only once, we decided to toss her live feed because we didn't have a night before we left for a few days to toss one in the freezer to cleanly kill it, since we knew she was capable of doing it herself if needed.
So after realizing we forgot to kill one, we picked one from the ready to eat cage and dropped it in. She did her own killing for once, but the normal routine was to take one from the ready to eat cage, drop it in a plastic container, put that in the freezer over night, and that kills them via hypothermia then you warm the body and feed the warmed up corpse to your pet.
The process is to be as clean and as merciful of a death for the rat as we can facilitate so it doesn't make a mess or suffer more than it has to do as to prevent a traumatic death by snake, or injury to the snake. I regularly inspect my rats for health issues, ensure they got a nice healthy diet to ensure they are the ideal food, and keep an eye on their stress levels. I need those little guys happy, healthy, and chill to be the best meal they can be for my snake.
As a pet owner you want the best for your pet, live food comes with risks. So you don't risk it if you can help it.
I was raised with carnivorous pets. The death of one animal to feed another is the natural order of things. Yet we, as humans, have the brains to ensure that process is as safe and merciful as possible. There's no pleasure from preparing to feed my snake beyond that of pouring my cats some kibble, or laying out some tuna for them. The joy is watching your pet happily eat. Not lingering on the animal dying to feed them. Reptile owners might be more acutely aware of the fact a living thing dies for our pets food, but it typically isn't something we're focused on. There's some nonsense on YouTube about assuring the viewer it's ethically raised maybe, but if you're not in it to see animals suffer, then that's the most you want to hear other than maybe learning more about proper pet care.

It's legal, trying to regulate this kind of thing would be impossible. Most of this content is produced in third world countries just like monkey hate. Don't know what you mean about the Japanese one, but asian countries do not seem to give a shit about animal welfare generally anyways, though China is way worse. But it wouldn't make much of a difference if it were produced in the US of A or the EU, because these animals are easy to get ahold of.

Every goddamn time I see a video featuring a reptiles eating a live hamster my heart sinks. They're one of the most abused pets on the internet all the way from kids treating them like toys all the way to the shit degenerates do to baby monkeys.
I've actually entertained the idea of making a thread highlighting the abuse hamsters and other small rodents go through for views and porn but I'm not sure if the Farms needs another thread similar to the Million Pity thread
Reptile feeding videos are a haven for people into this kind of stuff. I understand why live feeding is done sometimes, but there is some weird shit on YouTube related to it.
I encountered a video a while back of a guy live feeding chicks to some kind of lizard. The poor things were suffering for minutes and he was getting a lot of satisfaction out of it, as well as all the commenters. It was seriously messed up and needlessly cruel.
They monkey thing is crazy huge on it’s own, maybe another thread for small animals in general? I’m just a newfag though, so I don’t know.

You have a point. Thing is that hamster abuse content has a lot of different layers and is on multiple different sites. It's not just vore content. You have kids youtube channels like Troom Troom doing hamster "hacks" like cutting up bottles to put them in, or Hamsterious - a channel that focuses on making Saw-like mazes to put these poor beasts through.
The latter actually got into trouble when people called them out for their Squid Game video. They made a fake "behind the scenes" video showing how they care for their hamsters' safety.
Note the markings. They're not the same as the poor hamster's who was dangling from the glass panels. Either way even though this did nothing to quell concerned viewers nothing really became of it and everybody seems to have moved on from it (which isn't good for those poor hamsters).
Then there's the tiktok side of hamster abuse. A lot of it is just people who haven't done enough research on hamster care and to their credit a lot of them go out and get the right things their hamsters need when people leave comments about it. But then you have tiktoks like these:
The first one is obvious, in the second one the hamster shows body language that says that it is terrified of the human filming it. And for those of you that don't know - hamsters are more than capable of fighting humans to defend themselves. You'd have to do something really bad to make a hamster resigned and submissive like in the second video. The third is bad because the baby hamster has most likely been aggressively handled and separated from its mom - which is really damaging mentally for hamsters and makes them far more aggressive to humans as they get older.
As for the more vicious stuff there's vore channels as mentioned in other posts. The snuff side is a little harder to research because it involves potential law-breaking. One of these hamster sadists happens to be Isabella Janke who was responsible for "Swim, fucker! Swim!" and other horrors.
