Unrelated, but a person named zzz.admin is being accused of neglecting/abusing cats (a). Thankfully it looks like they were re-homed.

10 years isn't enough, people like him can't be rehabilitated. Hell, he's eligible for parole in 4 years according to the BBC.
 
10 years isn't enough. Knowing the Australian justice system he'll get out, people like this cannot be rehabilitated, only way they can is a bullet through the head

What a waste of tax dollars. The notion is appreciated but, and there's little point of saying this facing reality of justice today, Just take him out back and put two in his head. There is no rehabilitation for someone like this.

Even he gets released early his life will never be the same. His telegram activity will stand as a permanent testimony to what he is. Until the justice system takes these people seriously, I’ve no doubt the Internet will continue monitoring his activity upon release and will look into any reports that he has access to animals.

His professional life is over, his wife is gone, he won’t be returning to his home. Fuck him, I hope he does every day of his sentence, but either way his legacy is fucking and killing animals. And that much will stand forever.

I imagine he'll be jonesing once he gets out. It's good he can never own mammals again, but is there anything to keep him away from like...playgrounds?

In 2022, new legislation was introduced in the Northern Territory that increased penalties for animal cruelty, including increasing the maximum for aggravated cruelty against animals to five years' imprisonment.

However, Britton's offending pre-dated the commencement of that legislation, when the maximum penalty was two years for the charge.

I don't even know and I do not want to fucking know. This sentence sounds like a slap on the wrist and I question whether fellow inmates hate animal abuse as much as kiwis do.

“Our country’s animal sexual abuse laws are entirely out of touch with community values and expectations," she said.

The maximum sentence he could've gotten in the Northern Territory was 18 years.
10 for possession of CP; 5 for aggravated animal cruelty; 3 for bestiality.
Disappointed that he got little over half that, but for all that "I'm vewwy sowwy' song and dance it's better than nothing. I hope he gets raped.
