A summary: Kero the Wolf, a popufur with over 100k YouTube subscribers, has been caught in the zoophile ring. The leaked chatlogs are honestly pretty heart-breaking: he talked about how he raped his dying dog, sexually abused newborn puppies and expressed his desire to have sex with roadkill. His response is that he was "hacked", and the years of chat-logs were all a part of an elaborate long-con smear campaign or something.

All the logs are confirmed, it's Kero, and dude needs to own up that he's a horrible person and just shut down all social media. It's such a common excuse even normies use it. They know it was them so they can only say they were 1337 hacked since it's what they heard on some TV show. Even then usually when people get hacked they leak stuff or deface it with (account name) IS A FAGGOT LOL or similar shit and it gets deleted after an hour, and these were 2-3 year old chatlogs.

Yeah that much is true but this whole thing about "VPN means you're up to no good and you know it" / "VPN means everything is secure and your account could not have been compromised" is a little off base

Just about everyone doing illegal shit tends to use a VPN or tor, just saying. Not everyone using VPNs is going to be using them to hack or look at illegal content, but just about everyone who does those two things will use a VPN, tor, or both.

Keep in mind that this Kero guy has a lot of younger fans. I imagine that many people became a furry because they liked his videos. Those fans blindly defend the bastard in a last-ditch effort to cling onto what got them into the fandom in the first place. It must be incredibly distressing for these people, so, logic just flies out the window..
Or, they condone what he did, so long as they can keep their idol.
I would be horrified if THIS were my introduction to the fandom.
