UPDATE: She is in deep shit now. When she found out that the police were contacting her home, she threatened her dog with a knife as if that was gonna get the police to go away LOL.

Nah. I went to a shitty school (very) briefly during high school and I've heard similar shit like this from someone who was supposed to be on meds. IIRC, they got kicked out of every school in the county after they tried to stab a teacher with safety scissors.

There is no evidence this person has hurt the dog yet. The dog doesn’t look injured (yes it’s uncomfortable and scared being forcefully pinned down, but no harm was done as far as we know. The dog doesn’t seem know what the knife is or that it’s dangerous; it looks like a puppy) and I hope to God this is all just a really edgy attention bait. It very well seems that way to me at least. The parents need to see this and put her in a psych ward for sure, and keep her the fuck away from animals.

So I get the impression that they're gonna try to put her in therapy, because instead of talking about removing her from the house to keep the dog safe, he's talking about removing the dog from the house to keep it safe. Any sane family from a few decades ago would have disowned their kid for this, but for some reason the progressive idea on how to deal with sociopaths is just to keep them around and make them take medications that don't actually work.

Any "sane" family a decade or two ago would've probably just ignored the red flags and let this idiot kill the dog, and then when this bitch escalated to torturing and killing humans they'd be on an A&E True Crime Documentary spouting shit like "It's such a shock, we had no idea she could actually hurt anyone!" followed by a flash-cut to people who aren't her parents saying "Hey did you know she disembowled the family dog for fun once? And bragged about it to people at random?"
Some parents a decade ago had their shit together and actually moved the kid into a hospital or the dog into another home, but I remember a lot of family pets owned by shady relatives and kids in the neighborhood who either went missing one day, or died under extremely questionable circumstances at home. I'm not talking about obvious "this was predation" or "hit by a car" incidents either, I'm talking animals dying of blunt force trauma inside the house or being found suffocated under couch cushions when the only one around was one of the latchkey kids.
The parents would always rugsweep in these situations and make excuses because they absolutely were terrified of being labelled as abusive or negligent because their precious little angel thought tossing a rabbit into a pillowcase and swinging it against a concrete wall was a good idea. Some of these kids might've just been stupid and had no proper understanding of true harm or death until after they did it (that was certainly a claim I heard regurgitated more than once by parents of kids like this), but some of them were borderline psychos who just didn't give a shit until they got their toys taken away.
I should also clarify that this wasn't all in one "bad" neighborhood, either. I moved around a lot back then and there was at least one kid who was downright malicious to animals (and, usually, other kids) in every neighborhood I lived in, and whose parents either bought him/her new animals in the hopes they might get attatched and learn to stop, or would just not give enough of a fuck to stop them from dragging home outdoor cats. These people typically either got professional help (rare) or more commonly just got charged with physical or sexual assault by 25.
All this is to say, good on the parents for at least removing the dog from this horrific situation. It might be sad in the sense that the dog is losing it's family purely due to the actions of one shithead, but it's always better to rehome them (assuming you're doing it properly and not just throwing them at the SPCA and hoping for the best) than force the animal to stay with someone who has harmed them in the hopes this kid changes; and throwing this kid on the street just makes her everyone else's fucking problem. That dog might actually be able to get a good night's sleep now with people who genuinely care about it.

Oh sweet summer child, he hired them too. ChaseVRocket was a notorious zoophile who would talk openly and brazenly about jerking off dogs and bragged about living in Florida back when bestiality wasn't likely to get you a sideye there, and unbanned a lot of zoophiles during his short stay as FA Admin.
