The boyfriend of a 22-year-old woman who vanished in Wyoming last month while the couple was on a road trip together released a statement Tuesday, breaking his silence as he reportedly refuses to speak to her family or the police.

Brian Laundrie, 23, and Gabrielle Petito had been on a cross-country trek together in a white 2012 Ford Transit Connect, documenting their “van life” via a shared YouTube channel. Police in Moab, Utah, told Fox that they had responded to an incident involving the couple on Aug. 12 but concluded that the incident did not warrant criminal charges. A third party made the call. Florida police have seized the van Tuesday as part of their investigation.
Laundrie’s attorney said in a statement, “This is an extremely difficult time for both the Petito family and the Laundrie family. I understand that a search has been organized for Miss Petito in or near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.“

“On behalf of the Laundrie family, it is our hope that the search for Miss Petito is successful and that Miss Petito is re-united with her family,” he continued. “On the advice of counsel, the Laundrie family is remaining in the background at this juncture and will have no further comment.”

As The Daily Beast has previously reported, Laundrie has declined to cooperate with the police. Petito’s family last heard from her on Aug. 30.
Petito’s family responded: “Brian is refusing to tell Gabby’s family where he last saw her. Brian is also refusing to explain why he left Gabby all alone and drove her van to Florida. These are critical questions that require immediate answers. The Schmidt and Petito family beg the Laundrie family to not ‘remain in the background’ but to help find who Brian referred to as the love of his life.”

Just because you booted someone from their car and then drove off halfway across the country there's no indication you stole it, especially if they're dead.
There's literally no proof of any of that yet.

I read this as "black cops".
They shoot you (through car doors) if you see them.

Moving that aside, saw something on the reddit last night where there was a FB post showing a dainty blonde; said she was showing signs of mental illness and asking about her family. Sheriffs rolled up and took her somewhere, and this was in Lodi, CA (near the parks). If this story has a chance of a happy ending, this is it. Otherwise she's bear food.

I know it's the FBI but if she had turned up, oh Lord, stuck in Lodi again even they would have found her by now.

If she is alive then her family should file a civil suit against the boyfriend. Ditching someone in the wilderness and taking their car could very well be considered traumatic (and dangerous) enough to be grounds to make the guy pay out his ass for the rest of his natural life.

I wonder if she killed herself and he panicked. Maybe she jumped from something, maybe she overdosed overnight and he woke up and found her like that. Ran home and lawyer'd up.

This is where my head is at too. If it was an accident, suicide or an OD, he's probably scared out of his mind because of the DV stop the week prior. The world wants to condemn him, and they may very well be right, but I don't want to infer who he was based solely on his demeaner during a traffic stop.

Maybe he should file a civil suit for pain, suffering and defamation for the attack(s) she made on him and injuries he suffered, with the police being called andeveryone assuming he was the perp. He too could get a judgment against Gabby and her family, ensuring they pay him out of their collective asses forever for not warning him she was absolutely nuts,

I think any civil suits from either party are very wishful and optimistic takes.

This whole case sounds like a really obvious Ace Attorney case….Also the husband completely had a hand in her disappearance….if he’s declining to help out the investigation, then he’s fucking guilty of something.

He might have accidentally killed his wife…

Hmmm. Strange. Most of the these post dont mention race.
Thats not the KF I know. :pickleman::pickleman::pickleman:
