There's a lot of causes for that change, but I don't even know how to articulate anything about it. For decades the Truth Campaign got kids to stop smoking to protect their health, but now the same types of propaganda systems are being used to tell boys to take estrogen and cut their dicks off. The average boomer or Gen X parent is basically a giant failure who spent more time being hedonistic coonsomers that sold out their kids future while spending little to no meaningful time with their kids. Plus I'm sure the divorces and growth of single parent homes took a toll as well.

I was speaking with @the fall of man while we were watching the Senate Hearing on the Nassar sex abuse case (see below). I would accuse the progressives for only MeToo-ing when Simone came forward, because he had bad touched a POC, but that would mean I didn't expect that.

Anyway, he noted that this is a literal takedown of the FBI by the progressive faction, blaming the establishment. Due to them having the least amount of power, they are trying to get the public will behind them (possibly for political capital? That's my thought) and turn the public opinion against the intelligence agencies.

In order for the FBI/intel agencies to defend themselves, they have to open up why they knew about this for decades and did nothing about it (other than telling the girls to be quiet to not mess up the "investigation"). Honestly not surprised, considering the FBI makes their own CSA media ("oh it's totally for ensnaring pedo rings, mhmm"). He said that if this even just gets the FBI to perform an audit, it will be a huge win. inb4 "we investigated ourselves and found ourselves not doing anything wrong".

I think part of it is genetic and part of it is subversion.

Most of the hardcore liberals (what we today would call "leftists") had a strain of authoritarianism in their thinking. These were all kids from broken working class homes whose parents were, as MrJokerRager put it, Gen X consumers. The kids were angry, disaffected, and we got fuck all for guidance with regards to the world.

2nd is they started buying into their own mythology. Woodstock is the perfect example. Everyone remembers the awesome bands, the hippies and the "Peace and Love." Conveniently the fact that it was a "for profit" concert, almost a humanitarian disaster as food and sanitation broke down and they left enough of a mess that nuking the field would have probably caused less damage is all forgotten. And these events have proliferated. They have become rituals in and of themselves. You go to some modern music fest to "tune out and drop out" by ingesting as much drugs as possible and consuming.

Somehow corporate America managed to corral an entire segment of the population into a cult that will implode on itself.
