They're both fucking wrong anyway. AIDS spreads easiest and fastest among intravenous drug users. It likely would've never infected enough people to actually become endemic in places based solely off sex. It simply doesn't spread fast enough. I think she was referring to birth bc birth and het sex is how most new infections start globally, mostly in the developing world. Round my parts, IV drug use is 100% the only thing driving our stupidly high AIDS rate. In terms of solely transmission method, IV wins out every time.
Other factors do affect this, i.e. isolated communities and poverty. It is hypothesized, however, that the introduction of drugs to the originating area of HIV let it finally become endemic.

I’m probably biased because I also live in an area with stupid high opiate addictions/overdoses/junkie shit etc, but even though we do have a lot of The Gays here, the gays are usually smart enough nowadays to be on something like PREP which reduces the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS through enthusiastic unprotected anal sex.
The opiate addicts don’t care, there are trap houses where everyone will sit in a room and shoot up by going around the room with everyone using the same needle, not knowing or caring if someone in the same room has HEP etc.

As his owner Staph should be the one concerned for Pete's mouth not everyone else. Same way she should be the one feeding him appropriate portions to manage his weight not her mother and she certainly shouldn't be picking at the poor cats paws. There's a lot of luxury Pete doesn't have and it's nothing to do with the size of his head, it's all down to his awful neglectful, cruel owner.
