He left the internet (or was forced to leave the internet by his parents), most likely now using a secret account to stay in contact with a few of his """friends""", maybe even making a post in some MLP forum or whatever every now and then. Would not be surprised to learn that his parents monitor his online behaviour or that he's in some type of mental health facility to deal with his issues. But dead? Nah.

From wha these posts mentioned, Andrew neve really like drawing, but jus the attention.
If he is lying low, then he would not bother drawing... especially since h expects instant success in everything.

You know, I wanted to learn about our Blue Bear for a bit now, but I only learned of him right before he vanished, which makes me feel like I missed out on something grand. However, the more I think about it, Dobson is kind of a failure/has-been as a lolcow (in addition to being a failure in real life). All of his lolcow traits have been done way better by others. Being a fat, opinionated, ass who seethes and hates anyone who disagrees with him? Moviebob has surpassed him in all those categories (real early into my time on the farms, I often confused Dobby and Blobbert). After a while, I noticed Dobby was more depressed/sadbrains than CinemaRobert, but he is upstaged by Spoony in this category as well. But what about being a weird/creepy/virtue-signal-y webcomic “artist”? Sophie LaBelle blows him out of the water.

I guess Blue Bear is greater than the sum of his parts and his longevity/history as an earlier lolcow is endearing, but he is obsolete now and maybe it’s for the best he faded into irrelevance (I hate saying that). He couldn’t even go out with a bang like a lolcow of his (previous) caliber should’ve.

Here’s hoping he comes back, but I don’t think it’s likely.

You didn’t really miss much. Aside from edits of his comics and all that, nothing much happened really. To some, Dobson is one of those low hanging fruits.

edit: I honestly believe that Dobdad and Dobson found Dobson’s social media with all the shit he’s been saying and posting.

No. In 2020, after his vampire lesbian ski resort comic was leaked, he said he was stepping away from the internet. After the Summer of Love and Trump's loss, we were astonished Dobbles didn't come back to gloat. This thread is only going because we're reminiscing about his glory days.

Here's the list of Dobson's possible fates:
  1. Dead. Not likely, given that he was largely a shut-in reliant on Momson and Dadson. If he did die (of Wu Flu or something else), it'll be a while before we found out.
  2. Alive, learned his lesson, and changed for the better. Impossible. Dobson has never learned from experience.
  3. Alive and banned from the internet. Much more likely.
  4. Alive, and on the internet under a different name. This is the likeliest scenario: Dobson was smart enough to nuke his accounts and come back under a different name.
The problem with confirming any of these is the distinct possibility that he's given up drawing. His art was his big selling point; without that, he was a basic bitch leftist who parroted the party line, impossible to tell from other basic bitch leftists on the internet. Nobody's tracked him down simply because he's not worth it. Without his art, he's the embodiment of the NPC meme.

Further on that point, not only did he not really like drawing professionally, he admitted it multiple times that that was the only thing he was remotely good at. He makes multiple references to getting only mediocre grades at best, and failing maths at worst.

Also I mention “professionally” drawing, because he does indeed like drawing, but only on his own terms. Like many who try and turn their hobby into their career, Dobson discovered that drawing simply isn’t fun when you’re cranking out commissions of Wakko from Animaniacs shitting into a hot dog bun so that you can pay your water bill. Drawing was an escape for him, a way to remove himself from his shitty reality. He wasn’t smart enough to realize that allowing drawing to BECOME his reality was probably a bad idea.

It wasn't so much about drawing for an escape, he was drawing for praise. He made it clear many times, he never drew for the sake of making arr, he did it because as a kid, people would tell him how great it was. It's why he couldn't stand criticism, that was the wrong reaction.

The irony being that, if he had taken the criticism then, his work would be praised now. Andrew Chesworth is proof of that.

And lest we forget:
He was "Andy the Comic Guy" at his old school. The guy that can draw whacky shit. This was his unique characteristic.

Then he went to that artschool and suddenly he found himself in a really shitty position:
He was no longer "the comic guy", he was surrounded by those people. He was now in company where his unique characteristic was not unique by any stretch of the word. And to top it all off, he wasn't even particularly good compared to the other people in his class.

His perception of teachers being crusty old people who aren't hip and with it, who have ancient ideas about what is art and how things are done are unquestionably fallout from him being at odds with his teachers in art school.

Of course his art was above all criticism, these teachers just didn't "get" his art, since they were too old and out of touch :story:

He was a lolcow of a different age. Back when you didn't just have them as a dime a dozen. He was one of the special people who thought he could rise above the screaming masses known as the internet and the internet recognized him and smote him down. And again. And again. And again. I mean you're right, there's a lot that has been done better for him. But he was one of the originals. He was just powercrept.

Dobson is/was a good entry-level lolcow. Fairly easy to laugh at without the darker/creepier level stuff the bigger name locked get into. His main draw was just how satisfying it was when his condescending ego got its shit slapped in, because Dobson was really really good and infuriating people, because he’d constantly talk down at anyone, think he was better and smarter than everyone, and say the clearly dumbest, wrong crap every and act like it was the god-hones truth.

He may have been fairly boring or plain in terms of lolcow-dom, but he was one literally anyone could look at and mock, no matter who they were or what they believed.
