So, Japan have Cup Ramen flavored soda?
I wonder if they are just flavored or carbonated ramen broth.
To those who are curious, IRyS also retweeted it. (TL below the pic, via DeepL)

With the momentum of the 50th anniversary, I made a Cup Noodle "soda". It recreates the taste of Cup Noodle, so if you are brave enough to be prepared, try drinking it.

Someone who is better versed in the rhymes and beats please explain to me what she was going for with the "weeps" and the "lulolololo"

Do any of y'all know why Okayu uses the -san honorific when addressing Korone but Korone doesn't use one with Okayu? My understanding is not using one with a friend implies you're close enough to someone to not have to (and is thus rude if omitted with someone you don't know or in a professional/serious setting). The two girls are tight as testicles and their roommates go way back, so I assume there's something I'm missing. Is Okayu's use of Koro-san meant to be somehow intentionally sarcastic, like an in-joke or something? Because not using symmetrical honorifics and them clearly being very close is why I'd suggest that, although I don't have another example; it's just my guess. Also, Okayu likes to use a lot of looser, almost gyaru-like language, so it's even weirder from her. It has to be some kind of cultural sarcasm thing, right?

My rrat is that she uses -san since Korone is an old hag as far as the girls go.

So was curious to see how many memberships Kronii managed to get on the stream and if these numbers are right she got 4809 members in just over an hour brave_2021-09-21_14-09-21.pngbrave_2021-09-21_14-08-59.png
I am absolutely terrible at maths and this should not be taken as truth but a rough estimate to how much our Clock can make in a year, but anyway I calculated that she was getting 80 new members a minute but the initial rush it was probably more like 200 members a minute for the first 10 minutes before it tapered off to under 60 new members a minute for the last 50 minutes. I then decided to try and calculate how much she is going to be getting a month from this. While memberships are $5 at the lowest I have bumped up the number to around $6 for calculating the total number due to obviously people buying higher-tiers and also the currency rate around the world either being lower than the USD and higher than the USD so it should round it out a bit more. So I have done 6x4809 which comes out to 28,854 but Susanantube takes 30% of that, so I need to use 28,854x0.7 which comes out 20197.80 BUT then cover take what I assume is still half of that so I have to divide it by 2 which comes out to $10,098.90 a month and once I adjust it to CAD it will be $12926 a month. I have no idea the tax in Leafland but used this tax calculator whether it is reliable or not is a completely different question but I times the the 12,926 CAD by 12 to come out with 155,122 a year. It seems to be the tax ranges from 26% at the lowest to 34% at the highest so the lowest she would get in a year if she were to keep the current member numbers is over $100,000 at the highest tax band and $114,000 at the lowest tax band.

Again this should be all taken with a pile of salt because I am absolutely terrible at maths and I am doing this because it is interesting to me how much people earn in a year. Once you account into superchats, future con appearances and merchandise sales I can easily see that number doubling and even tripling with very popular Hololive members.

TLDR - Local man who failed maths in high school tries to guess how much money the Big Clock gets in a year.

Are memberships also Susan'd, in that a portion of the pie is handed over to youtube the way superchats are, or is there a fixed service fee.
Here is a blurb from an article, searching it on Google seems to indicate that it is a 30% cut regardless if it is superchats or membership. I am also friends with someone that does Youtube for a living and they indicate that Youtube takes that membership cut fee as 30% as well.

I give you an Autistic as a recognition of work you put in on pure speculation and make up variables. Wear it with pride, man.

Kson celebrating 880k tonight. She was 800k on the 14th last month, and settling down to around 2k new sub per day. With the new model and "big reveal" of her planned projects coming, it's safe to say she'll be 1M vtuber again by the end of this year. Fitting, as Coco fail to achieved the goal of 1M before new year due to the bugmen last year. Ching Worst Enemy keep winning.

It's parttially a joke, Korosenai neans unkillable and it's a variation on it, basically calling her Ms Unkillable. The joke is well known in japan because of korosensei (unkillable teacher) from the anime assassination classroom

See, I knew it'd be some deeper cultural thing I'd missed. Thanks!

just watched a Koefficient vid about him unboxing some Wiess Schwarz Holo cards he even gets a signed Sora holo, as a former TCG collector.. lucky bastard and now I'm browsing through ebay looking at Hololive products.
on the side of the cards, as an avid "gotta collect them all" in most games and such.. I would probably try to get a full collection but I know it would personally bankrupt me.. the booster boxes cost ~55 a pop and a straight up signed card afaik is going for 100+.. maybe in a couple of years when I'm a lil more financially safe
edit: ofc.. I'm pretty sure if you are some how in nipponland, think its somewhat acceptable to hit up ome of those secondhand collector stores. Never know what you can find y'know
