It makes you wonder if this is finally going to get through James' little echochamber he has going on? People are not happy with the decline in quality, the laziness, the lack of interest, the Screenwave crew, the podcast, and the fucking cringe cover band. Does James finally wake up and actually try to improve or does he double down like the lolcow he's becoming? The Screenwave crew can only shelter the negativity for so long before the dam breaks. And I don't blame them because that's regular work editing, effects, doing little cringe sketches, and you don't have to do a traditional 9-5.Decided to give the full music video a shot, and man was it horrible, definitely the worst one and it's pretty sad to see how the quality for Rex Viper gets worse as it goes on. The vocals are really off at some points, and for the visuals they really are horrible at some points (trying to use the background of the band as green screen while putting the Megaman 2 game as the background really hurts my eyes, and wtf are these filters?) and that tiger dancing really made me cringe. The only good parts are just 3D animations of the Tiger Electronics doing training and maybe the Rex Viper Tiger Electronics mockup but that's it.
It's so bad that despite there's more likes than dislikes than usual, the comments are really bashing it. This isn't me cherrypicking the comments, these are the top comments in the video right now:

Huh who would have thunk that the guy who Likes Videogames..is the heart and soul of the Video game Review show and the Guy who has always admitted he was more into Movies was just the actor playing a role.I think it's safe to say Mike was secretly the heart & soul of cinemassacre.
This clip the spergs at TheCinemassacreTruth curated recently was an eye-opener for me:Huh who would have thunk that the guy who Likes Videogames..is the heart and soul of the Video game Review show and the Guy who has always admitted he was more into Movies was just the actor playing a role.
Really makes you think.
Doesn't help the Slobs come across as fanboys basically making James do games they requested and want to be internet famous through JamesMike was the only one who gave a shit about games. The slobs just copy and paste from Wikipedia and TV Tropes and James... "My favorite Mario Kart is the one on SNES" Read: that's the only one he ever owned, and someone else, possibly Mike, had MK64, invited to play him a couple of times, but he didn't have an N64 so he was too jealous.

Honestly Justin or the guy doing the singing for Rex Viper come across as people desperate for E-Fame, especially the vocalist.I don't remember if I've posted this before but each time Justin appears I get the feeling he's hoping this time will be the one, that now for real he'll graduate from "unfunny tryhard" to a proper A-grade e-celeb.

This is really the biggest problem with Cinemassacre right this very moment. It's not that James is incredibly untalented on his own - he can really show his own work on a good day - it's that he's choosing the wrong crew to help him with his brand. That wouldn't be too bad if the people he has working for him (Screenwave, Justin Silverman, and the ilk) weren't obviously trying to leech off his success, let alone if he's either apathetic to that fact or he's willingly letting them suck his creative blood because he won't admit that he's not having fun with Cinemassacre anymore.Honestly Justin or the guy doing the singing for Rex Viper come across as people desperate for E-Fame, especially the vocalist.
Yeah James' issue is his lack of passion and how he seems like a bit of a pushover at times.I think the problem is James and not so much Screenwave although they do contribute to the problem.
Before the recent video where James showed his set I would have said the issue was 80% screenwave, and 20% James. Now its reversed. Not saying screenwave is innocent, or I sympathize with them. There's only so much they can do to James when he just wants to be lazy and not do shit. Its a classic case of the old saying "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it".I think the problem is James and not so much Screenwave although they do contribute to the problem.
Yeah James comes across as a very old guy in the body of someone half their age and he is a pushover who has no actual passion for most games with some exceptions. It doesn't help James seems more passionate in talking about movies which is his best content (honestly wonder what would've happened if he decided to just be an angry movie reviewer instead of a game reviewer)In my opinion it comes from a lack of know-how and interest rather than straight up laziness, at least when it comes to James' involvement.
Personally I still think Screenwave is more responsible since I think they mostly care more about fame and money more than turning out a good product. That's an issue since that sort of mentality does not balance well with James. Before the recent video where James showed his set I would have said the issue was 80% screenwave, and 20% James. A few people here have had good theories for what the 200th episode is going to be like. Of course, given that its a milestone, it will be skit-filled to high heavens, but it couldn't be worse than the other skit-filled AVGN episodes we've had this year. I personally think it might be Blue Brothers, but assuming James keeps up with the two episode per month schedule (he's likely due to upload that new console review by the end of this month), his 200th episode will likely be posted on Halloween, which could likely give him more opportunities, such as reviewing a game based on a movie (like Swamp Thing, as @José Mourinho suggested)The only thing I'm hoping for is if the 200th episode is good.

I don't have high hopes. I want it to be good, and a breath of fresh air but with how things are going I think it's unlikely. It will either be a skit filled mess like Vegas Stakes, or a average game that James acts like is the devil, then destroys it in the end and acts like thats an epic 200th episode. Going for the first one personally, but if the second one happens then I'm not gonna be surprised. The only thing I'm hoping for is if the 200th episode is good.
