Super Smash Bros.

I’m holding out hope that the final DLC character for Smash Ultimate will be someone like Sora from Kingdom Hearts or a Crash Bandicoot.

Because if they did add them in, there will be a massive influx of fans yelling out how they told you that they were going to be in there, despite the fact that they have been wrong for the last few years now.

If we are going by sheer popularity Sora would probably get in, but I dont think they'll be conventional. This whole round of DLC has been oddball after oddball.

My gut feels like the Hulk or Ryu from ninja gaiden are more likely at this point. But im sure its something ill never guess in a million years.

First party, Squeenix, Microsoft and Namco are unlikely.

Crash would be cool but lolactivision

If it's Sega: Likely Dr. Robo
If it's Konami: Another Metal Gear character
If it's Capcom: Dr. Wily with Robot Masters or another SF character
If it's First Party: Another lolFE/pogueyman
If it's Squeenix again: Another DQ character, probably nier (2b was in other fighter games but lol waifu swordfighter), oldskool FF character like the black mage
If it's Microsoft again -> DOOMGUY
If it's Namco again Klonoa or some Tales character

or maybe we might get another bayonetta character since the third game is getting announced

We have more than enough characters, so I don't even care about quality now.
I want the last fighter to be such an awful choice, that it causes a collective meltdown incomparable to what we have seen until today.
That's why I hope the rules of the universe are rewritten so that, somehow, this guy is confirmed as the final addition to the roster:

Gets a record thrown at his face but he's mildly annoyed so the rest of the trailer is just Vella explaining how Mario got there, then they drink some lemonade

Some people are claiming he's saying that a lot of people won't know who the fighter is and that it'll be an unexpected choice, but I'm taking it as him saying "even if you wind up not knowing who the fighter is, or if it winds up not being who you expected, we hope you watch it and have a good time".

It's down to the translation, though, as I don't speak Japanese.
