While I was travelling through some part of the forsaken south I ended up eating at a little diner and overhearing a conversation about a man that was nagged constantly by his wife with suspicions about being unfaithful, forced to often sleep in his barn, humiliated by his wife in church, all kinds of shit. In the end, the treatment drove him into the arms of another woman. It was a case of, as the old man put it, 'If you're going to get the grief, you may as well get the gravy.'

Which is to say, the zealotry you're talking about, the desire to call everyone a racist and mistreat them, even when they're making a good faith effort is dangerous. It completely removes the incentives to act in a reciprocal good faith way by regular people, because the well is poisoned by the obvious aim of activists to destroy them. We see that already in the wide spread advice to never apologize, and its only going to get worse.

I don't know if people will start reading Mein Kempf on the bus or anything, but eventually people are going to start thinking, "All I asked for was a safe community where my kids could grow up, and I was called a Nazi. Everyone on social media said that was Nazism. I never knew wanting your kids to grow up safe is being a Nazi....but thats a good thing, and Nazism is evil, right? I'm older GenX and everyone I grew up with was anti racist. Admitting to being racist was right up there with admitting to be a child molester. That doesn't mean that we didn't tell racist jokes or anything, just that the concept of racism was looked down upon.

Ever since BLM, CRT and the rise of identity politics around 2010, that has been steadily changing. I've noticed more and more people in private saying stuff like "I'm not racist, but... if they're gonna make everything about race and then make whites the bad guy, well I've got to look after me and my own, right?"

In my experience racism really seemed mostly dead with my generation but the left's constantly attacking whites and calling whites racist is ironically bringing racism back and reversing decades of racial progress.

My only question is how much of that was intentional. I know there is anecdotal stories of racial politics appearing at OWS protests and basically sidelining the whole Occupy movement. I can definitely see the powers that be using racial division as part of a standard divide and conquer strategy.

Extremely. The Democrats just essentially told Israelis that they want them to be defenseless when the next war with Hamas comes and rockets are raining down on their heads. Israelis already didn't like the Democrats but the Democrats have never indirectly called for Israeli property and lives to be put at risk for essentially no reason. The Iron Dome is an entirely defensive system and for Israel, Iron Dome is the reason why they can still feel safe even when they are actively being shot at by Hamas. Ironically, by calling for the defunding of Iron Dome because of the "high" (actually extremely low) civilian casualities and attacks on the "media" (AP has been whistleblown to regularly work with Hamas to whitewash the news + Palestine is ground zero for the globalhomo news we see today), AOC/Squad is directly calling for more Palestinian deaths. When Iron Dome is shooting down rockets, people are okay with targeted airstrikes. When rockets are raining down with nothing to protect, Israelis will demand a ground invasion.

Essentially Democrats told Israelis they want them all to lose their sense of safety and that they will punish Israel even for precise airstrikes against Palestinians. They cannot come back from that.

I seriously doubt the bizraelis cant come up with a billion to fund their own overpriced rockets that only serve this single purpose (I remember because my country asked to buy iron dome to take down narco planes and israelis basically said it couldnt handle a fucking cessna)

I used to be of a similar mindset, that much of modern woke theory started being pushed by the establishment to derail actual class agitation like OWS, but, in hindsight, I don't think that was the case, and it definitely wasn't intentional.
Think about what part of the population, for the most part, can afford to camp out all day in a Manhattan park for months on end. It sure as hell isn't the working poor. Maybe there's a few crust punk anarchists and ideologically bent hobos showing up and living on the cheap, but most of the protest leadership were upper class college kids, living off of savings or being funded by Mom and Dad. And the identity issues were there from the beginning - at least in terms of the progressive stack for who got to hold the metaphorical conch.
For all the talk about the 99%, it really was more the 10% trying to use middle class and poor people to target the 1% who were in their way. And, with time, they were promoted into more and more positions of leadership as they grew up, which is why corporate America is now utterly infested by it. So the blame for it all probably has more to do with the cancer that took over academia over the last 20 years and started churning out these identity-obsessed radicals to flood our elite institutions.

Maybe Frank Herbert had it right when he said "All rebels are closet aristocrats".
