because their CEO is obsessed with China and thinks it's a huge opportunity, it's an idea that's been sold a lot in the games industry and I knew it'd come back to bite them. I'm enjoying watching it all burn, from activision blizzard to traitorous scum like this

The thing is though, they aren't really losing out on the Chinese market by not having this stream there. They're just missing a little publicity. Like literally the only stakes here is that a guy with 400k subscribers wasn't gonna shill the stream.

Steps for being a communist video game shill

1. Make product
2. Be a total imbecile and want the chinese market
3. Find a approved publisher and have to pay them shitload of money to consider it
4. The publisher ask for a extra fee to wet some hands in the party
5. The party decide to check the game for any smell of capitalist heresy
6. After carefully test of purity that take years because communism love that red tape is approved
7. Publish the game on china
8. Noticed that no one gave a shit because the game is old news or chinese just went fuck it and imported it or pirated it
9. Congratulations you lost a lot of money for fucking nothing
10. Scenario B you manage to publish the game you have to be literally on night watch 24/7 because chinese feefees change every day, so you have to have someone on the mainland ready to purge the heretical material or face the wrath of the party this is most prevalent in mobages where they have to think in the long term

It’s more like joint venture with a local company. For example Samsung can’t operate with 100% by themselves, they require to partnership with some local manufacture and operate under joint venture aka their China counterpart is 50% stake while Samsung hold the remaining 50%. Now all those big techs realize how all of their stuffs had been copypasta by China local companies. The most notorious copypasta is how Huawei release their own folding phone literally a few days after Samsung fold phone Z3.

With the Chinese market is about to experience Lehman Brother crisis, I’ll say those cock suckers game devs and Disney will also follow suit and get broke as there’s no more “big China money”
