I don't have high hopes. I want it to be good, and a breath of fresh air but with how things are going I think it's unlikely. It will either be a skit filled mess like Vegas Stakes, or a average game that James acts like is the devil, then destroys it in the end and acts like thats an epic 200th episode. Going for the first one personally, but if the second one happens then I'm not gonna be surprised.
Honestly yeah those two are likely. Only possibility is if the episode is something akin to his Earthbound, Majora's Mask, or Polybius review. But I doubt it.

I may have been optimistic but I won't be surprised if it's a game the slobs hate more and use James as a vessel for their opinions.

turns boosty composed that
Based on his subsequent musical endeavours I think it's safe to say he was the most talented one of the group, music-wise.

But I'm also pretty sure he's no longer interested in working with Cinemassacre.

It doesn't particularly hold up today, but at the time it was coming out after two rather mediocre episodes (if only we knew what was yet to come): "Treasure Master" and the wrestling games episode... Also the "found footage" scenes felt refreshing and even promising for the future of the show. It seemed to indicate that James could do something a bit different with the AVGN if he wanted to.

Review in-character for a game that doesn't exist.
The one thing it does tell us is that James is not good at writing supernatural thriller movies for shit.

By the way, i had a random thought yesterday... this Podcast thing, they already had a "discussion" series in Rental Reviews and that failed, the one thing James seems to care about that matches with what the audience wants, and it failed. Makes me wonder what goes in Justy's mind that a Podcast would work, and with such weak themes like beer and family stories (the latter instigated by James of course).. It reeks desperation. Makes me wonder what they sleazingly will come up with next that could bother James to even bother.

So looks like the next episode is going to be about the C64? Honestly thats a surprise to me. Lots of crappy old computer games on there though, so it could be interesting.
James has played plenty of C64 games in the past for the show, and as its likely he played tons of C64 in his childhood, he'll probably be more into doing this review than most of the games he reviewed this year. Going by the preview, it's looking like its setting up to be a rather decent episode at the very worst.

I'm surprised he's sort of dropped his two episode per month upload schedule for the Nerd episodes though. No really, there was only one new nerd episode last month, and there has only been one new nerd episode this month, this episode looks like its going to be posted early next month. Not really a complaint, I'd rather have him take his time making a quality nerd episode instead of one that's either very mediocre or very bad, but what happened? Did the contract he mentioned run out?

I'm guessing that the podcast is being done as a way to satisfy the contract, considering he films those in bulk and act as several uploads for the channel.
