Prison Letters Chris writes me from Prison (dated September 19th, 2021)

I assume Chris started identifying as Jesus cause he has had no access to children's media to rot his brain with and flipped through a bible for lack of an alternative.
I say we send him a copy of Moby Dick and make a betting pool about which character he'll identify as in his next mail.
My money's on Quequag.

He might view it as a challenge. Anything where Chris ever gets to see the light of day again is pretty much a win for him. If he somehow outright wins it, he's pretty much Clarence Darrow.
Maybe he'll take a page from the Robert Kardashian school of criminal defense?
"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, now, look at this beautiful proud woman, who sits before you despite her autism. This young lady is a lady in all but biology, but we can't hold that against her, now can we? A woman from Virginia can dream I say, a woman from Virginia can dream! Who are you to not allow her to dream? This young proud brave woman, she doesn't know what's going on in this scary world. She just wanted to make her beloved mother feel better, help her, heal her. But the state attorney will have you believe that she's violent and harmed her. Harmed her! Raped her! Oh no no no, that's a crime men do, women rarely do that! And let me tell you, how is she going to rape her mother without a penis? She's a woman, see, so I tell you, if her dick is a clit, you must aquit!"

I don't think it's a coincidence that he's chosen a line of delusion that roughly tracks the standard for an insanity defense. I don't think it's totally planned out and he doesn't really fully understand the standard anyway, but I'm pretty sure he's aware of the existence of such a thing and the general concept that if he's crazy enough, he isn't guilty.

And as others have pointed out, the standard is what state of mind he was in at the time, not now. While he had other delusions then, the Jesus stuff all postdates the Barb rape. He really went about that in a far more methodical way than someone too insane to be guilty, and with apparent knowledge what he was doing was against the law.

Much like the kidnapper and rapist Brian David Mitchell, Chris has some quasi-religious set of beliefs that justifies his crimes in his mind, but Mitchell didn't get off and neither will Chris, unless the prosecution's case really falls apart in a spectacular way.

For instance, they could be in trouble if they're actually relying on Barb to be coherent at trial. Heilberg will probably stall until her senility becomes more pronounced if that's an issue. If they really need her testimony, the prosecution could probably take what is called a deposition de bene esse, which is taking testimony for use at trial from someone who is expected to be unavailable at trial, often for reasons of physical or mental illness, or impending mortality. The defense has the opportunity to cross examine and unlike most out of court statements, the deposition can be used directly as evidence at trial.

I'd guess if they haven't done this already, she's either already too senile to give coherent testimony or they anticipate making their case without her testimony.
Minor point. I'm pretty sure Chris DID Get Off. Multiple times. Every three days. (And on the seventh day he rested)

to everyone saying this letter is the damming piece of evidence that gets chris sent up the river, Remember that it's a post on some random forum the old boomers and aging gen xers who work the system know almost nothing about. and as for Heilburg's copy i dont know if he has to surrender it as evidence against his client but even so what makes you think any one's gonna take a word of it seriously?

I doubt neither the letter or the ILJ recordings are going to show up in the courtroom given how they are just random postings by idiots on the internet. Look I know the internet is becoming, if not already so ingrained in our lives and the system that there are entire units devoted to cyber crimes, but the fact remans a bunch of old out of touch farts aren't gonna give two fucks about what got posted to the internet forums, it's still such a big and scary unknown to them that they wanna avoid bringing it into court as much as possible.
Late reply but ...

You're making a huge assumption there. You're assuming some poor sod of an intern in the Prosecutors office hasn't been tasked with reading here.

(To that person: Hi. I'd recommend a stiff drink and a shower after you finish taking your notes for the day.)

This is both important and relevant:

He's petulant, extremely unlikeable, and narcissistic. What jury is going to want to give him a break, assuming this even goes to a jury trial? Especially since he's not in California, he's in Virginia. The good old boys and girls will want him locked up and the key disposed of. That said, I would be surprised if this went before a jury anyway. The judge had him held without bail to start with because he's a danger to himself and others. He may be transferred between institutions, but.... He's never getting out.
True, but as people have pointed out, an insanity defense doesn't mean he's getting out, either - it just means he'll be committed to a forensic mental health facility (read: prison filled with lunatics) rather than a normie prison. It would also mean that he'll likely serve more time in prison, since the bar for getting released from lunatic prisons is absurdly high (in my state, you basically have to be declared legally sane again before they'll set you free, which of course never happens).

If Chris is found not guilty for reason of insanity, AND he's ruled a danger to himself or others, then gg Chris. He's fucked. Best he can hope for is a nice private room to live in, and a quiet gravesite out behind the kitchens.

Woke up today to seeing this.

At first I was interested to see what he would say, as I thought it would be a confession or an apology.

No, I was wrong, deathly wrong.

I then fully read through all the pages and it kind of stumped me so I re-read it again to understand that he claimed to be the literal reincarnation of Jesus. I then proceeded to laugh. Because when you thought this clown world was clown-y enough, something else comes to smack you right across the face, and this was definitely unexpected at least when I looked at it. At least not to this extent.

God this timeline is absolutely insane.

Guess I should start praying to our TRUE AND HONEST modern day Jesus Christ to checkmate the false claims.

Nah, just kidding I'm gonna laugh some more, and hope the rest of you do the same, Prison Arc will be a good one.

Maybe I'm giving him too much credit in thinking he's doing this on purpose, but that was my immediate thought after reading the letter. The thing is a narcissist to have a messiah complex is not too out of the ordinary and there has been a LOT of narcissistic coping mechanisms over the last decade.

How many can you identify?

Maybe Chris(t) could get an NPD diagnosis alongside his HFA diagnosis?

If that's not Chris trying to act crazy after being coached by his lawyer, then this is the result of him reading the bible or some shit for the first time, getting an impression, and trying to merge the lore of whatever it was that impressed him into his own crazy lore.

edit: also, now I wonder what will the trooneys of twitter think of Chris, now that he openly equated being trans/gay/etc, with fucking his mother.

The issue to my eyes is that Chris is completely and totally consumed by the introverted autistic mindset. I am not a psychologist, but I have observed and interacted with a lot of autistic people (I'm convinced that you need a minimum of 1 obvious mental illness in order to be able to code) and one of my best friends is on the spectrum. A conversational thread that I have repeated with many of these individuals is regarding their choice to be either an introvert, or open up and interact with the world around them. By default, an autistic person wants reality to conform to their standards. However, high-functioning autistic individuals are able to conceptualize this desire and keep it in its place - if they choose to do so.

The best way I can describe this is by equating the autistic mindset to a constant, inescapable, low-level addiction. When you aren't indulging it, you get withdrawal. Not crippling withdrawal, but your entire body is left subtly and insistently craving something you know you could supply it. Furthermore, you know that you'll feel better when you supply it. Your aches, pains, difficulties, vexations and insecurities will fade away when you indulge. You can still think logically about it though; you know that you'll be giving in, and that from an outsider perspective, you'll end up worse off. But you just can't stop that little voice at the back of your head, whispering to you ever day; 'just give in. They don't matter. Only you matter.'

Supporting this interpretation are a lot of interviews I've watched with mentally ill people, particularly schizophrenics. One that stuck with me was a guy who suffered from constant paranoid delusions. Medication left him a relatively stable, functional individual. But when asked about his condition, he said the following (paraphrased); "I still know that I'm being watched. There are still things hiding in the walls. The drugs let me tell myself they aren't there, but I know they still are. Just because you think you can prove to me that I'm wrong doesn't change the fact that some part of me always knows that you're wrong.'

Chris on the other hand has gone completely the other way. He has regressed into the autistic introvert mindset entirely. Every single external input he receives is immediately filtered through his absolute and complete confidence that he is right. He is the center of the universe. His reality trumps yours, every single time. You are the liar. I'm sure that if he were more intelligent and learned, he could produce completely fascinating manifestos explaining in exhaustive detail why all this is true, and there would be a consistent thread of logic running through it - logic that only Chris can see. But that's okay, he doesn't need you to understand. You're wrong, after all. Nothing you do or say will ever convince him otherwise, no matter how bad things go for him. I would bet that you could torture him for months on end, and if his mind was still intact afterwards, he would still refuse to acknowledge that he is in the wrong. It's just too much an intrinsic part of his core identity at this point. Take it away and what're you left with? Nothing.

Welp. Now that I know that you can mail Chris, let me see if I can predict what kind of mail he should expect to get in jail:

- Letters with nothing but JULAAAAAY written all over it;
- Letters condemning him for what he did, and about how he should 'die' because he's a fat piece of shit;
- Letters asking for more information as to what happened;
- Fanart of Sonichu;
- An envelope with something disgusting in it, like poop;
- A cake, but they forgot to put the nailfile in it;
- Pictures of trolls humping Son-Chu in the front yard or posing with Patti's skeleton like Weekend at Bernie's;
- Deepfake Nudes of Bella for him to fap to.

Did I get it all?

I literally just caught up in all of this and that was quite the ride. I’m amazed he hasn’t been stabbed as of yet, especially if this is the bullshit that keeps coming out of his mouth.
We're pretty sure he's in some kind of protective custody, which is probably just solitary. Otherwise he'd have had his ass kicked by now. I don't think he's going to be stabbed where he is because it's mostly minor criminals and people awaiting trial, like him. Nobody wants to add a murder or a stabbing to that, but someone could easily give him a bitch slapping without much additional punishment.

For the last time he's not in hard time with the prison gangs where shiv the autistic is about to be the new game around the yard.

He's in regional lockup, possibly in solitary or least in isolated custody. If he has any contact with other inmates chances are they're junkies working off the withdrawal shakes, drunks busted for duis, and wife beaters who hit Martha just a bit too hard the month and someone noticed her black eye. None of whom wanna risk getting more charges added on for assaulting the prison retard.

Edit: hey @AnOminous Great minds think alike

Chris would have already been lamenting about any kind of abuse in jail through that letter. Him getting beaten up is something that would overwhelm him to the point where he wouldn't shut the fuck up about it. He's most likely in the Hold right now, or, at the very least, keeping to himself.
