I've seen some posts on AHS calling for the subs removal for uyghur genocide denial, so there is a sizeable chance it may be axed in the futureI'm guessing the reason this sub hasn't been banned yet is because Reddit's majority shareholder Tencent has it's pro-CCP hand so far up the site's ass.
afaik some youth in China have been AGAINST the government's supposed capitalism that has been introduced since the deng days, there was even a shortlived maoist hardliner party that advocated for antirevisionism and a second cultural revolution in ChinaThis is fucking hilarious, there's gonna be a bizarre schism inside the Communist Youth League if more splinter groups like this emerge. We've already had the true Marxists get persecuted for following Party line, now we've got pure zealots on Reddit popping up. Chink propaganda is probably confused as fuck right now.
Those movements are about as credible as Western tankies. Practically no one supports them except for student retards and the existing state is overwhelmingly popular among regular middle class people.I've seen some posts on AHS calling for the subs removal for uyghur genocide denial, so there is a sizeable chance it may be axed in the future

Well yeah, if you’re Chinese and you want to say good things about China you aren’t going to VPN into a banned website (unless you’re getting paid) so you can circlejerk with weird redditors, you’d just say it on Weibo or whatever. You’d only go through that hassle if you have bad things to say, which is why the actual Chinese subs are mostly complaining. Those movements are about as credible as Western tankies. Incidentally, it seems like Chinese citizens on Reddit use completely different subreddits. /r/China_IRL is the main one I'm aware of, while /r/China (and probably GenZedong too) is overwhelmingly moaning white losers.
I’ve been to China and barely anybody there is a socialist. Most of them can’t even tell you what socialism is outside of maybe what they’ve read in a textbook. However they’re extremely nationalistic, see their poor and disabled as sub-human, and hold western leftists in immense contempt. It’s cartoonish seeing commies pretend they’ve found solidarity with a people that’s almost indistinguishable from any 20th century fascist nation and also see said commies as vermin.

That was the “unless you’re getting paid” part.
To be fair, about the only thing Maoist style peasant revolutions are actually good at is a rapid transition from an agrarian society to a (relatively) modern industrial society while skipping the whole "Industrial Revolution" phase. The downside is lots of people dying, but the ones who do live generally enjoy longer lifespans as the result of actual medicine and other things that come with industrialization.
And let's not forget about Cambodia's life expectancy in 1977.To be fair, about the only thing Maoist style peasant revolutions are actually good at is a rapid transition from an agrarian society to a (relatively) modern industrial society while skipping the whole "Industrial Revolution" phase. A major downside to this is the industrial society you get, having essentially been achieved by brute force, requires continued brute force to maintain it, so lives may be longer, but they aren't necessarily better.
Also note that while China did rather well compared to its historical performance, it remained lower than in the United States until after the death of Mao and the adoption of what amounts to capitalism, whatever they call it. It now is reasonably similar to the rest of the world in that respect.
It was certainly communism and not the end of a decades long civil war and the end of the most destructive war in human history

CCP shills are ridiculous because they advocate for communism while simultaneously supporting a regime that couldn't be further from genuine Marxism-Leninism at this point in time. At least DPRK shills, as retarded as they are, are more ideologically committed. China shills just keep coping and insisting that the CCP will return to True Socialism any day now, just as soon as they're finished making China the undisputed Numba Wan.I'm definitely left-wing and a socialist myself but I just don't get it why there are still people who advocate for full-blown communism, since, well, communists mass murdered 100 million people and then collapsed. I mean, everyone knows fascism doesn't work and how evil Nazis are because they committed war crimes like the Holocaust and lost World War II. Fascism has been discredited, now no reasonable person calls themself a Nazi or advocates for what Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf, for obvious reasons. Yet, why do some people still believe in communism and what Marx said? Yes, Marxism sounds nice in theory and communism works on paper, but they've been disproven in real life by all rational criteria.
After Mao's death China liberalised its economy and became a "socialist market economy" like West Germany during the post-war era or the Nordic countries today. Now the CCP believe in themselves, China and... well, they'd like to know that too.CCP shills are ridiculous because they advocate for communism while simultaneously supporting a regime that couldn't be further from genuine Marxism-Leninism at this point in time.
This is generally the vibe I get reading the subs for actual mainlanders. Now the CCP believe in themselves
