Botan tends to be really good at fielding more delicate types of questions and making sure she properly thinks out what she's going to say and how to say it to not cause any misconceptions, even thinking on her toes well enough to direct clippers to make sure they keep her whole rambling preface in if they clip it. lotta the other girls would either just ignore the difficult to answer question, or go so off the cuff in their response that they put their foot in their mouth, so props to the Lion.

One of the many reasons Botan is top tier.

Just woke up an hour ago, so I'm not caught up to the posts yet.

I don't like downloading stuff from non-official websites because I was a dumbass kid, thought I could get free Minecraft and it cost me my laptop. If there's a chance for viruses I'm not risking it. I was even iffy about downloading blender because it isn't the typical file type.

Even if there isn't an upload on Ragtag or something, I can watch clips of the rat singing anyway. It's not too big of a deal, and beggars can't be choosers.

Rat is going live in 1 min, not sure if the link has been posted so I won't post it just in case. I'm going to catch up on the posts.

Botan is most likely younger than Korone and Mio. She's in her early 30's which puts her around Fubuki, Flare, Coco, etc age.

I'm not sure where you're getting the 1979 date, since to my knowledge there isn't a confirmed birth date for her. But going by that she would be 35 in this picture. Which, sure Asians don't age normally, but I find that very unlikely.

Well it's important to clarify that she's only dispelling any idea that there's no want for rivalry or competition from her perspective. That's understandable given she's twice the age of some of them and it'd be pretty ridiculous for her to hop in wanting to mop up teens and early 20's J-Zoomers.

But on the other end of the spectrum, AkiRose has very, very bluntly stated that V-Tubing is a numbers game; and she does place value and her own self-worth in her numbers. Does this mean Aki is some MenHera bitch? No, but I wouldn't be surprised if the desire to 'overtake' Mel and free herself of being on 'the bottom of Hololive' hasn't crossed her mind at least once.

The idea that no one is looking over their shoulders at others' numbers and using it as motivation is pretty unrealistic. Plenty of them are probably doing it. YouTube's Dashboard literally greets content creators with messages like 'Your number of new viewers are down 40% from last week', 'Viewer retention is down', 'Less people engaged with [song cover] within the first 24 hours than [previous song cover].' How can they do anything BUT start falling into that mindset?

So Botan doesn't really answer the question as a whole, just that she personally isn't a part of it. I realise that's what you're getting at too but I'm speaking more towards the clip and how I feel people may interpret it to mean 'Botan doesn't see competition therefore there is none'.

but in seriousness mega links at least can be trusted, since you're given all the files upfront and videos are viewable in browser, so there's that

Edit: She's actually writing a full fucking scenario of their potential conversation, with multiple branches depending on his reactions to her invitation, this is so socially awkward it's adorable. Members are trying to remind her it's not a job interview.
