Well that solves that. I guess he's roughing it, which makes the radius of where he could be much smaller, especially since winter months are getting closer and closer. Unless they know of a cabin somewhere he could go that is not linked with themThe video of Dog the Bounty Hunter shows that they brought the truck camper back with them.
What supplies he has I am going to guess to be somewhat limited to the parent's pantry. We haven't heard any news of "I saw his parents buying a shitload of food two weeks ago, loads of peanut butter." The Feds would probably be well aware if there were significant grocery purchases on the Laundrie's credit card or store card.
Here's where you go wrong: Feds would not be aware of any purchases that they have made unless they have a warrant, for starters, which they do not. His parents aren't accused of any crimes, so they do not have their cellphone records either, and as such wouldn't be able to track where they went even if they were dumb enough to keep them on themselves the whole time.
Second, you are underestimating his parents' superpower: they are middle class white people. The second they get out of their regular area, literally no one will give them a second look. You really think anyone especially outside of Florida would give a second look to a wife and her husband in a camper like that, who bought a bunch of canned goods and rice and shit?
I'd say that even when it comes to the people who are following this story closely, less than 1% would pick up his parents out of a line up with other old white parents.
That truck with camper would stand out on the interstate. I would assume they may have taken non-interstate roads on their trip with their son. The question is where. If it was more than a gas tank back & forth some gas station would have them on video.
If they paid cash, very unlikely. They are the exact kind of people that would be invisible to your average gas station clerk, especially weeks after the fact, unless something noteworthy happened.
