With how extremely overdesigned his characters and environments are, you can imagine that a lot of the content is going to be describing what they look like.
He could cut the sentences or directly put some illustration of the character with a simple description, I don't know.

He said there will be an illustration between each chapter, in which I guess environment and characters will be, so he could really relax a little with the description and not describe every single little detail. Detail is always good, but this here is way too much.

Ok, so I gave the writer the benefit of the doubt and thought that maaaybe, in his work he might have cases where all this constant violence destroys them, but this? this is not in quotes, this is 3rd person preaching about how sympathy is useless. sure, violence is hard-wired into creatures but "sympathy is not a factor" that's a red flag. Am I saying fennah is the sort that believes homeless people should be euthanized, no, but that kinda thought is down on the same slope.

You have that page where Lucy and Ludwig talk about friendship and the previous one where Locket and Felicity talk about how you shouldn't judge others for who they are. To then tell you in your face that these things kill each other every morning and that sympathy is a crime.

I think his fetish is the most interesting thing about him. It's so... Novel at this point. A quick PL: I proof read and edit smut to pay my bills. I'm desensitized to most fetishes. I've spent hours writing in commas into stories about werefrogs with penis tongues fucking wolves through the mouth, out the ass, and into the snatch. That's an actual thing I was paid to do. Fennah at the very least has a novel fetish to laugh at.

Now it is worth noting that Sam's fetish is a bit of a "compound fetish" it is actually just a novel expression of several other less novel fetishes in a very specific configuration, so he likely isn't turned on by most of these on their own, only when put together as a larger singular fetish. So let's break down what they are:
