Price of a single MET Gala ticket is $35,000 a person. With the added context being that it was around $15,000 in 2014, until the people in charge jacked up the price by $20,000 circa 2015 as a means to make it "less accessible" to people Anna Wintour (who basically runs the MET Gala) didn't like that had the money to buy a ticket.

But even HAVING a ticket doesn't mean you can get inside. Wntour has veto power over the guest list (meaning you have to kiss her ass just to have the right to pay $35,000 for a ticket) plus dress code issues depending on the theme (one recent MET Gala had her demand all men wear white ties and this created a major outcry due to designers stores not having enough of them in the quality required to pass Wintour's snobby spot check) of that year's event.

The only way to get in for free is your company splurges for a table for X number of people (which is still costly as fuck) and comps you a ticket to represent the company there (and Wintour allows you to go) or if you get a designer who Wintour likes to "sponsor" you; Most of the people wearing freakshow costumes/gowns are celebrities who get in the door this way; they basically are acting as advertisements wearing gimmick gowns and suits which will only be worn once, to promote a particular designer who has Wintour's favor.

As for where the money goes to, it goes to fund the fashion wing of the New York Metropolitan Arts Museum. Rich folk felt costumes/fashion equals art and basically opened a wing of the museum where dresses and suits etc were displayed as if they were the freaking Mona Lisa. The Gala basically exists to allow the other art patrons of the museum to know their donations aren't going to fund the wing, as far as the ball being the chief engine to keep that part of the museum open with it's own income/donation stream separate from the coffers for the main museum proper.

Cobain's political/cultural writings of the early 90s absolutely fit the modern SJW and gender ideology of 2021 to a T. I think Kurt's trajectory would depend on a couple of things, most notably whether or not his marriage to Courtney Love would have ended in fire and flame and the mother of all red pilling of Kurt towards women if Courtney managed to 100% rape Kurt in a divorce fallout/if Courtney managed to fuck Reznor/Corgan while married to Kurt (as opposed to waiting until he was dead to do so), and got soul custody of their kid.

It's something of a hard reboot of the franchise, with the producers of the game in Japan giving it a HUGE promotional push complete with anime and merch, to maximize profits, which caused it to get noticed by SJW weebs given how popular it was in Japan and how it got a decent size (for the franchise) promotional push in the US.

The plot is also based on some SJW tropes: heroes are fighting against corrupt people of authority including a corrupt nationalistic politician who destroyed the main character's life, along with a plot point where the masses are the "real enemy" because they don't do shit to "fight evil" while the main characters do and who believe in keeping a corrupt status quo because "the needs and comfort of the many outweigh the needs of the few" type Randian nonsense.

It's also ironic because they aren't far reaching "dream jobs" - the main characters in the games have some level of personal, direct connections to police.

Persona 3 - Kurosawa (a cop) runs cover for the group and helps supply them with equipment and becomes someone that Akihiko (an orphan) looks up to.
Persona 4 - Your uncle, Dojima, is a detective and becomes a father figure to many people in the group, including Chie.
Persona 5 - Makoto's father (who she idolizes) was a cop and her sister (who she idolizes) is a prosecutor.

If there's anything that triggers leftists about police, it's the idea of "if the police are so horrible and your community is so important - why don't you sign up and police it yourself?". It's always some excuse about how the system is flawed, or racist, or whatever instead of "I have an imaginary problem and the solution sounds like it would take effort.".

On one hand: most SJW types are physically unfit for police work, tend to be the type of borderline personality disorder folk that can't hide their evil level enough to pass the psych evaluation, or just unable to mentally pass the courses required to graduate police academy.

adding to this, a lot of these types tend to be wussies who make legit bad cops and who expect being female or a minority is a ticket to rapid promotion up the ranks and scream racism when they don't get their promotion. or just can't handle the culture of being a cop, which tends to be conservative leaning and filled with people who get red pilled HARD on race and crime working the job, combined with the physically exhausting nature of the gig, and the fact that it's a gig where you ARE replaceable since the money/overtime money plus a guaranteed gold plated pension after 20 years draws in more than enough people to allow them to weed out the SJW crybabies that can't cut it.

And on the other hand: police is one of the most institutionalized, kafka-esque places of employment one can work at and reform is next to impossible to fix/change on any major scale or scope. The Wire is such an iconic series, because it DOES demystify a lot of myths about police in big cities, where they basically are tasked, by hook or by crook, to lower crime stats so whoever is in power locally, can keep getting re-elected via low crime stats, even if the stats don't actually fit the reality that actually exists of crime being rampant.

Even moreso, if you live in small towns, the local police/sheriff's office are ELECTED offices and pretty much ground zero for graft and corruption and in some places, the local machine can decide who gets to be a cop or not, meaning the police are cronies and you can't get a job unless you are part of the machine in power. And that the head of the police, basically is a literal emperor with unspeakable power to fuck people up if they get uppity or threaten the sheriff's power or graft.
