Chris absolutely has more wrong with him than just autism. Blorb definitely had a lot to do with how he is now. Bob engaged in ridiculous conspiracy theories and passed them on to Chris in addition to what you’ve said.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Knowing the greasy things the Chess Club were into, they probably pitched it as a "Sonichu Zapper". It would be the next step, Chris had a can of mace and predictably sprayed himself to test it out. I'm amazed he didn't shock himself in the process.
Health would be the best bet. With Chris alone there's a goldmine of analysis and content. No doubt there's common themes between Chris and the herd.

I think many followers of Chris’s antics, or at least I was, were in denial about much a sex pest Chris was even though the evidence has always been there, dismissing it as Chris being naive and just not understanding social norms or giving him a pass because the women who did say anything were mostly trolls leading him on (Aside from a few exceptions like Megan) and the information only came out once they lost access to Chris:

It's pointing to exactly that. No convention or event is ever going to want to approach Chris. With what he's done to Barb and stuff like his current jail letter, no way can someone say "he doesn't know any better." That excuse went out the window. I'm almost exactly Chris's age, and both my parents were in their 30s when I was born. When I was growing up I didn't fit in very well but I did manage to make a couple friends. I've got my shit together since then but my mom was terrified I'd end up in a reform school. I'm from Florida. When I was young she would tell me horror stories about young boys being put in freezers with nothing but their underwear. There was a place called the Dozier Boys School and it's surrounded by graves.
I almost give the Chandlers a pass on this one. Almost. Like you said, too many people are forgetting that this shit didn’t go down 5 years ago. This was the mid to late 80s and Bob was old. Tard care, particularly specialized towards autism, didn’t really get rolling until the 90s. Before that they basically warehoused them. If you were lucky they’d take em for a walk twice a day and keep their asses wiped.
If they thought they knew better than the school district what to do by mainstreaming Chris they should have actually put in the effort to make him a functional member of society. Considering how impressionable autists are parents need to be educated about how to raise an autistic child and neither Bob nor Barb did this. Bob's reaction to everything was "go talk to your mother dont bother me with your retard shit" and Barb's reaction to everything was just threatening to kill herself. They were both horrible role models and Chris picked up all of their bad traits.
He's probably not even allowed to call her to wish her a happy birthday. Sucks for Barb, but, you reap what you sow.

I think anyone who went to school in the 90s has some perspective on the "mainstreaming" experiment. I remember the exact DAY in seventh grade that they took all of the kids who could handle using the toilet and didn't need full-time helpers out of the special ed class and put them into the lowest-achieving regular classes. Luckily I wasn't in the slow group so I only had to see them in gym and got to keep having real classes in academic subjects, but as I recall it was a pretty miserable experience for everyone involved - of course the former special ed kids got mercilessly bullied, and of course the education of the "people of slightly below average intelligence" English and math class came to a total halt while trying to accommodate the new arrivals. Maybe it paid off in the end because it forced some of the kids to learn social skills, in which case the lesson is that you have to actually hold them accountable for their behavior in a way that Chris never was.
Yup, i remember my first sighting of a wild autist at my school. The kids name was Jason and was very much like Chris at that age, though he did have the ability to memorize baseball stats. Right down to bullies throwing coins at him because he couldn’t resist picking them up. Haha best thing I remember is he had a T-shirt he wore often that said “I KEEP HITTING THE ESCAPE KEY BUT IM STILL HERE!” which I found humorously appropriate.
