This seems to be getting mostly sidelined over in the main thread, but I feel it's worth putting a bit more of a spotlight on it here:
Naturally, by this same token, maybe a (small) handful of more neutral-minded individuals, clout chasers who live to slapfight with people on Twitter, and actual lolicons brigaded right back against her detractors with the whole matter, despite having died down considerably since Kyu's debut, eventually ending up in a stalemate between two very aggressive, fairly dumb sides.
Just last month, however, Kyuotto finally debuted an actual "adult form" model, which caused some concern that she had finally given in to her detractors after all this time, especially when she seems to have stuck to using her new "adult" model over the original in most of her streams to date (despite her constant insistence over the last year that she will never compromise on her identity, nor would she audition for more professional/corporate groups like Hololive or Vshojo out of a fear that they might try to make her be someone else, and she didn't want to give up the community she'd built up thus far). And now, within the last week or two, Kyu has announced that she will be officially auditioning for Vshojo, in spite of the views she'd expressed about the matter earlier in the year.
While that's raised a whole entire slew of handwringing and doomposting out of her fanbase, which seems to be focusing mostly on concerns regarding Nyanners' whole bullshit and the possibility of Kyu going down the same road as she did, it's also apparently caused a lot of community infighting between fans of hers who are staying "true & honest", and the disillusioned fans who are starting to doubt her intentions (namely, aforementioned Twitter celebrities like Shizu and Dimitri Monroe, both of which only seemed to jump on the Kyu Defense Brigade back in the beginning to slapfight with idiots on Twitter, as they usually do).
Personally, I also don't really like that Kyuotto's trying to apply for Vshojo either, particularly because of her own past claims, but, in this case, I also think it's hilarious how overly dramatic people like Dimitri are being about the whole thing while also trying to argue that he's totally not shitflinging at the people who are basically telling him to "lol calm down".

"See! You're putting words in my mouth!" The gay child protests, while proceeding to explain that his grievance is, in fact, the exact thing people assumed that it was.
This whole debacle has the makings to be a good old trashfire especially if more of her "eceleb" followers throw fits about this and I'm looking forward to seeing what'll come next.
