shows how much of a plan he has with his 13 year slong experience.
he can't keep up with the algorithm changes and ofc he can't invest into his stream not even $2.
when jumping from one platform to another he could advertise his channel and his livestreams and get a few thousands of viewers in the span of a few weeks by spending a few dollars.
he could just skip gin for a few weeks and have that money spent on advertisement.
he still thinks in terms of 2012's algorithm and gaymer culture where you could bare to watch a tv recorded by a camera and call it "content".
in comparison oyvey shapiro's sister, abby, had zero organic growth. she paid a shitload of money and now she's up to 100k subscribers and a decent viewing audience.
Phil's so retarded that he won't take advantage of advertisement to bring him in new whales, or at least some braindead retards to watch his raw unedited walking simulator footage.
no-normie talks about you phil, you gotta bring in the new meat somehow.
wake up retard.
As much as advertisement would help him, ads just bring people in for their first impression. What can be your first impression of DSP? Dead air and cringe music? A sideshow with him talking under it? Narrating what's on screen? The likelihood of a stranger staying on the stream is so much lower if they have a first impression like that.
When DSP says his streams are "interactive", he means he interacts with chat, not with the stream. Other streamers have different scenes, transitions, effects on the screen, a soundboard (not Dave's default clownboard), and ways they interact with the actual stream. Green screen can help a lot, you can change your backdrop based on what you're playing, change it to something when you hit a goal, etc.
DSP's stream has 2 layouts - begging and dead air. The Pre-stream slides how and the gaming one, which barely ever changes.
Why? He's lazy and stupid. He understands improvement as something that is directly related to spending money, while creativity and proactivity is more important. And money is a great excuse for him, since he "doesn't have it".
Now he wants to spend money on a PC, several of which he has already had issues with before. The dude hates playing on PC, complains about it being uncomfortable, having to set up stuff (pigs don't mix with computers) and went out of his way to randomly shit on gamers who play on a desktop.
This is his latest business venture to convince the remaining piglets to stick around, and that he wants to improve. So give him money to spend, so he can inevitably complain and go back to his own ways. One more PC in the storage room, one more green screen in the garage, in the end, he'll say you love it like this and support has been great. Best year ever. Things keep getting better, and if everything stays the way it is, maybe he'll be OK eventually.
But still tip him, it's been a slow day with only a few behind the scenes tips.
