I listened to the police scanner recordings from today. At 3 minutes into this recording (so 5:52 pm Ottawa time, which lines up with the video nicely) there's a call from the dispatcher that goes "We've had several calls with this female on <?> and she is a Caution Sierra, 10-4?" So I assume two things:

1. She's so known to police that the officer doesn't even need an address. Just go C.S.' place.
2. They got several calls for this visit. So her chat called the cops, not Chantal.

There is zero reason to believe that scanner message was about Chantal. Ottawa is not as small a place as some here imagine it to be, and the police and paramedics deal with suicidal calls allllll the time in every city. There's no reason to assume this particular message is about Chantal unless it actually lists her address. I don't get the sense that that cop showed up there with a lot of urgency, I think it was added to his to-do list earlier in the day.

If the scanner message IS about her, it's pretty funny to imagine them pulling straws to see who has to go deal with the fat hog again today. But I don't think it's worth several posts of speculation, because there are dozens of people on any given day that a caution sierra could be about.

I just noticed that the recording is from the Ontario Provincial Police? Ottawa, as a proper city, has its own police service, and assuming the Woodcliffe address for her is correct, she's in the East Division of the Ottawa Police Service. So if this is an OPP recording, it's not even from the right police service.

Apologies if I missed someone addressing this, but caution sierra means the person is self-harm or suicide risk, not a code for Chins. But it would be interesting if that was about her, she still threatens to kill herself for attention like she did when she was a teenager.

She did briefly mention feeling suicidal again in one of the streams in the last few days I was able to catch. But it was just a line and then she moved on in typical Chantal Fashion. I want to say it was the day before yesterday and before the big revelation of the night.

Also, I don't know since I've never been locked up in a mental ward or whatever but wouldn't her previous lies when she was a teen still be in a report the police have access to? If she told them it was an internet prank, and she was fine and not visibly distressed, they would probably believe her and leave. Suicidal people about to kill themselves wouldn't likely be cooking dinner, and the cops would see that. For wellness checks, usually cops show up solo first and assess the situation before calling an ambulance since it could be a waste of resources. Wellness checks are crazy common, and there isn't enough ambulances to cover all of them on top of medical emergencies.

Sorry but this scanner recording is from the OPP, our Provincial force here in Ontario, Canada.

We have three tiers; RCMP (federal jurisdiction including some smaller provinces and territories), provincial forces such as the OPP, Sûreté du Québec (QPP), and regional forces encompassing cities small and large. For instance, the General Toronto Area (GTA) has Metro, Peel Region, York Region, Durham Region, and sometimes Halton Region.

Ottawa has its own force, as well, and these fellows would be them. I have no doubt she is 'known' to them from previous shenanigans, also, thus the officer looking rather annoyed about the visit.
