I've pointed out before that in North Carolina it takes roughly six months to evict a renter from the start of the process, I'm not a credentialed lawyer nor a NC resident so obviously I just read this on a NC webpage for landlords FAQ, if anyone knows different I'd love to be corrected on this. I am more familiar with other states and it doesn't seem that out of place other than on the specifics of the process.
This is aside from the fact that was an eviction moratorium in place until August in NC. I just went to look up when their state version expired and came across this:
www.rebuild.nc.gov

So NC is apparently not a state that has rejected federal funds for renters and landlords. Sean (and his landlord) can apply for 9 (and 12) months of assistance and receive it in a few weeks.
I have no idea why I'm bothering to call out this obvious bullshit and look into what the truth is, but maybe someone may actually want to give money to this turd and do a brief search on them first and see this.

Rent and utility assistance for renters impacted by COVID-19.
