At this point if I were lucas's parents i'd be very concerned if he actually did end up showing up in arizona after making statements like that. If for no other reason than lucas is the kind of idiot who is stupid enough to think he might be able to kill his parents and somehow get away with it, to get what he wants from them. When he is denied what he thinks he is entitled to he can get pretty angry and violent, as attested to by both dan campbells experiences and suzannes. If he ever gets it into his head that he has nothing left to lose he might try to do something stupid one way or another. Hell he has no issues with wanting to live in the psych ward apparently so doing something to them to get himself thrown in the nuthouse by claiming an insanity defense is the kind of thing I can see him at least contemplating at some point, once he completely runs out of options.
