I don't think she was necessarily poor or that she had a shitty mom like Kanata. But she does sometimes show glimpses of a very strange childhood. Most of her family is dead already. Uncle even at one point tried to kill himself at their house, raging alcoholism in the family (also related to a few of the deaths), her dad running her over with a car (accidentally and not the only time she's been run over by a car), etc. Just a very strange life.

Honestly wonder if Lulu's roommate streaming with her real face is kinda the whole point.

Most people who are committed to stalking V-Tubers likely do it because they want to sate their curiosities. They show up at houses to see who answers the door and push them into situations where they have to break that immersion. But Japan has plenty of YouTubers who use their real faces, and so the mystery isn't prevalent and the people who cared will get their answer and leave.

It's a shitty byproduct of the medium, but I think she's made a smart decision to eject herself from that environment and use her clout to start afresh.

As someone who made the same decision because all 4 of my grandparents were horrible alcoholics as well, I can feel that.

I tend to assume it's just a fandom thing like Kiara and Calli before the totally real break up, i cri evrytiem gaiz.

The people I know who made the same choice as Botan is for fear of it being in their genes. If other people drink it's whatever but they don't want to end up an alcoholic due to inherited addiction.

I had to look it up, but she's talking about a group called 22/7 . Looks like several of the members announced they would be leaving the group later this year. No idea which one is her oshi though. Doesn't sound the group is disbanding, I think the group she's referring to disbanding is the one in the second tweet, Wake Up, Girls!

Well, living a life like that, you can either become a raging activist who's bitter at the world, or you can learn to take everything in stride because you know it can all end in a flash. Due to her laid back nature, I think it's obvious which way she chooses to live. I also think Botan is a smart enough lady to know the difference between "loves to drink" and "needs to drink"

100% agree here as well. At the risk of TMI posting (again) I come from a long line of opiate addicts, so due to that I'm EXTREMELY careful about taking prescription medication.
