SA culture had alot of phases.

The cat lady brigade felt that mean jokes werent nice.

The edgy jokes, the monkey cheese, the ironic racism all kinda fell away as the user base aged. When your in your teens or early 20's you cant get away with those things.

But the moderate users aka normal people moved on to other sites, or grew up you had more and more mal adjusted people. Every new mod will be worse than the last.

The writtings of richard never really changed and sorry its 2021 not 2001 and its just not "it" anymore.

I also think early internet culture was more "raw" unrefined and amaturish. thats why doom house "worked" it was a shitty internet video.

Now people can make almost hollywood teir material with a fucking cell phone.

Okay I stop ranting but one more thing I think richard is missing how his life used to be when he had the club house "office" money and he could bullshit with his employee and baby sitter david kelly.

Okay now I am gonna really fucking gay. I hope richard will get clean and just go spend time with his kids.

The "poison womb" thing is kinda fucked up, but there was an implication that the women deserved it for their aberrant, "wrong" behavior (dead baby shrines). So despite being fucked up, it was framed with a thin veneer of moralism.

That dead baby shrine was particularly egregious, too. "Poison Womb" came from a geocities-tier site being featured as the Awful Link of the Day. Pretty sure the woman was a little disturbed and was posting actual photos of a dead fetus complete with photoshop of the gore fetus baby as a windged angel with clouds and shit. After being featured, the woman wrote an email to admin Zack Parsons who replied with the line and a picture of some hamburger meat he put in a blanket with plastic googly eyes stuck on it.

There was indeed a time when even the Front Page was funny. Things went downhill very quickly once the ALoD feature was removed.
