The problem is people will never admit they fucked up. Ever. It's like a right wing puss puss I used to talk about the vaccines too, he watched his friends children die after taking the vaccine (13 and 17 respectively) [Note: I didn't even know 13 year olds were authorized for it until that happened.] and still wouldn't admit that my point there's something up with that vaccine was wrong. We've come to a point in society where delusion overrides sense of reason and admitting one was wrong is impossible. Even if you harass these people it won't change. They won't admit it even if they die and bring you down with them.

It really has become a point regardless of what anyone says, that extremism and accelerationism is the only way this is going to end. My apologies I should have specified. When I get in peoples face I often not only berate and insult people but also treat them as if they were a toddler with a lack of critical thinking skills. It still doesn't change their minds. I've even watched some of them try to defend from my onslaught with the most circular logic and double speak you'll ever see. It's like one guy who said his family fled from a tyranical authoritarian government, I pointed out what happens when this government becomes the same, what then? "You can call me a coward but I'd rather die than violate the constiution... yata yata."

When I point out their mistakes I do what the old pastors used to do in churches, I fear monger (Brimstone presentation)them and paint as grim a picture as I can. I see the fear on their faces, whether it be telling about how they'll get the bullet too, that their families are going to die. They are going to lose everything and watch everyone around them suffer. I see them knowing full well I'm serious and probably believing me but the propaganda from years of "Violence never solved anything" maintains even as I watch the color drain from their face.

My grandfather takes the opposite approach and tells them if they voted for Biden when the time comes he's coming directly for them if they voted for him or allowed this to happen. Some have threatened violence and my grandad has welcome them to try, and they pull back as cowards.

Nothing works on these people, and the people who do believe what I say when I get in their face? They are some of my most loyal in real life friends or followers.

You've got to realize most people are useless and will never amount to anything. Sad fact of reality. Just like the founding fathers when Britain came a knocking only 8% stood with the founding fathers despite them facing treason and then sub sequentially death. Same too here Most people won't act until their TV is taken from them or they're surrounded from their own mouths and by then it's too late. Depend on those willing to make a change and fuck the people who are cowards. They'll never change. Plainly put, no amount of guilt tripping, verbal abuse, threats, will change that.

If this was a political move from the establishment, the game just changed fundamentally, at least for us internet denizens.

Big Tech was operating under the impression that as long as they let bits of the right get slowly run down by restrictive moderation, they'd be otherwise left to their data harvesting fiefdoms, and allowed to continue their manipulation, and by extension their ridiculous profits. If the establishment just actively assaulted one of the big players, the pact is broken. As soon as it becomes objectively more dangerous to let the establishment hold power and suppression of dissent than to side with them, you'll see a free speech swing or suddenly the algorithms promoting inconvenient data for the establishment. The conservatives won't really come back, but if they can redpill the NPC's hard and fast enough, the establishment might break under the pressure before facebook does, and then they can try and salvage what remains. It would amount to little more than a suicide pact.

That being said, this is an extremely unlikely move for the establishment to make. They are dependent on their suppressive propaganda machine, and they've used it recently for the hunter laptop, so its not like they've forgotten its importance. They have very little to gain by sieging facebook, and stand to lose the entire foundation of their citadel of lies.

And its unlikely Zucc had a change of heart - There's no more profit in flipping to the other side, they've already ruined that audience. The deplatformed will not easily or willingly return to your platform. For better or for Worse, Facebooks only option is keep sailing or double down, there's no room to step back.
