I’m honestly not to surprised by this but I‘d be lying if I said Sora’s inclusion didn’t hype the everloving fuck outta me, he also looks like a fun character to play as (not so much to play against though).

A couple of things I noticed. First, ALL of the music tracks are from KH1, there’s nary an original track from other entries in the series. I’m not that bothered by it but there are some serious jams in later games. Second, only the original human characters are present with original non-human entities like the Heartless being completely absent. Not having Heartless crawling around the castle section of Hollow Bastion makes the stage look kind of empty.

Part of the reason why they sweep it under the rug is that Sora isn’t an official Disney meet-and-greet character, the costume was outsourced and was only made to help promote COM’s GBA release.

Don’t forget that Blizzard also said that Nintendo could use any character they wanted if they decided to make an Overwatch DLC fighter.

CAPTAIN Toad. A character who originally appeared in Super Mario Galaxy, and whose game was built off of a mini-game in 3D World because Miyamoto wanted a full game based around it. If you want to see Waluigi get love, you're gonna have to get with Miyamoto himself on that. And Miyamoto doesn't exactly hate Waluigi, I don't think, as he's more....indifferent. And as we all know, the opposite of love is in fact indifference.

One of my thoughts when first seeing Sora was "oh is one of the spirits gonna be the shadow and it's just a bunch of the black kirbys with yellow eyes?" But then the spirits were just all the heroes, no bad guys whatsoever. Not even Ansem/Xehanort in any of his forms. Fucking weird shit.

Riku has NO disneyshit on him whatsoever so theoretically he'd be less of a hoop to jump through legally. I'm guessing they only wanted Sora because main protagonist. That and there's the fact Riku canonically goes through like 4 or 5 different weapons , most being vaugely dragon wing/soul caliber shaped.

I bet Sakai is taking some time off after the announcement with some police protection to prevent an angry sperg attack.

I am still surprised they were able to put Sora in just because of the Disney legal nightmare. It kind of ruins the character without the Disney representation.

Like many other times Ding Dong was wrong. The only reason KH is popular is because of Disney trash, if it didn't have Disney shit it would be in the same realm of popularity as Dissidia.
