US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Does it really take an entire week to yeet a Tomahawk into the Three Gorges Dam?
I dunno how trust worthy sims on youtube are, but from the looks of those, a 3GD collapse is a nuke level event, possibly greater. All that water will wash away anything downstream.

Not that it would be the first in Chinese history.

I think it might be better to consider an attack on Taiwan in terms of three 'Phases'.

Phase 1: The initial attack, days 1 and maybe 2 depending on Japanese response time. This one is entirely up to Taiwan, sinking as much of their ships and transports as possible and doing bitter fighting on the coast. The entire goal here is -delay-.
Phase 2: Japanese reinforcements, securement of the waters. Japan + Taiwan have a good chance in a defensive battle to go toe to toe with China.
Phase 3: America rocks up and begins the absolute naval slaughter, Taiwanese and Japanese forces focus on securing any remaining land forces.

Considering it'd need to get past any Chinese AA, yes.
The problem is that it's much more likely China goes for the Kinmen Islands first and it's much easier for them to get troops across when they only have to sail a few miles from the Chinese coast. The last time they tried was during the civil war and they were rowing literal rowboats across and they're a lot more prepared now. The ROC knows this and has been fortifying the fuck out of those islands for over half a century now but they're way too close to the mainland for comfort and if the Chinese do manage to take them the US and allies taking them back becomes a very risky proposition. In the grand scheme of an all-out war across the Taiwan strait it's probably not a huge deal but as a limited war to bolster flagging domestic support and to humiliate both Taiwan and the US it's a big vulnerability.

Sounds to me they kicking stuff down the curb till 11th hour and making a decision before they go on holiday recess. Like last year lmao.

Not... quite. In fact, this is good news for anyone who wants to fuck over the Democrats. Effectively it's a continuation of the policy extending it to October, so just kicking the can down the road, right? Yah... kicking it down the road. A can that is actively ripping apart the Democrats.

"I'll continue to kick the can down the road, while you guys work amongst yourselves over that infrastructure bill. We'll keep kicking it, -so long as you are working on it-"

That's what I was thinking as well.

I know the Republicans have always been the Happy Losers, but at this point it feels like the Republicans are in full "Luigi wins by Doing Nothing" mode. I mean, the Dems aren't going to be any more unified 2 months from now. Every delay can only make more and more people hate the Dems. Especially when they don't realize that most Independents are actually opposed to stalking people in the bathroom to shout them down, especially when you can make the argument that they shouldn't even be in the country in the first place.

That assumes the US will join in at all. It's easy to point to Biden in particular, but the Democratic party itself colludes with the Chinese government, as Feinstein and Swalwell prove. Even under relatively sane leadership like Obama did the annexation of Crimea occur and the typical Center-Left voter started their hate of Republicans based on the war in Iraq. The rank and file Dems have hopelessly myopic views of foreign affairs, corporate-types desperately want the CCP to spitroast them, and the leadership want to turn America into China. Combined with the hilariously pozzed state of the military, interest in defending a country on the other side of the globe will wane quickly, just like the war in Libya when France and Britain ran out of munitions in a week. Why wouldn't the US leave Japan hanging like we did to our closest allies?

Dems propose forced sterilization; POC hardest hit. Dare I say based?
As if they'd ever apply it on coloreds...

So somehow the illegal that harassed Sinema in the bathroom found and got on the exact flight as her? weird.
What's really weird is that liberals cry about how beaners are treated like slaves and tortured once revealed to be illegal... yet this ungrateful spic is blatantly boasting she's illegal and dime'd off taxpayer money while harassing a tacky senator more directly than the boomers on 1/6 did. Illegals have more rights than you while also yielding less responsibilities so long as they vote correctly; what a beautiful message to send out to everyone including our 1 million new invaders.

So turns out that the Marine Lt. Col Stuart Scheller isn't as intelligent as people made him out to be

On the one hand, I can understand a man not wanting to be a political prop for any party, and telling them to fuck off is sensible...

On the other, is this some kind of performance to convince the opposition you're not really a bad guy and have learned your lesson and are willing to cooperate with the rot?

Oh and lmao; conservatives cucked and jew'd out of their money again! Motherfuckers have no friends it seems.
:story:
What's next, a denouncement from Kyle Rittenhouse? From Trump himself? Can't wait for the group of cowardly "do not step on me" larpers to get humiliated once again...
Kari is an interesting study. She was a Fox News anchor here in PHX for many years and walked away from it because she no longer wanted to be part of the media distortion. But being an anchor brings her tons of instant recognition and comfort of familiarity with voters because she's been in their homes on TV for years.

I get all her emails and she's going for it with veteran events, hosted gun range get togethers and others that hit all the buttons for conservatives here.

Brnovich (our AG) is pretty solid as well, but he ain't as pretty as Kari. Slappy's call on this? Kari, simply on the recognition and likeability factors. Ducey is termed out, so I don't see a real bloodbath, just inevitably a new Governor. And we've had female Govs in the past, so that's not even an issue.
You don't work for the rot for so long and not catch/indulge in some of it along the way.
I smell another ACB at best and a Noem at worst.
Huh, so it was all a performance of fealty after all...

Jesus H. Fuck, I guess it would kill this guy to be less handsy. I mean, I deal with some handsy people in my life, but none of them are remotely like this.
Old-timey habit I assume. I remember reading old books about how physical contact like hugging and shaking hands establishes trust.
Of course, this is from a world before metoo and how so much as looking at someone is grounds for a harassment lawsuit.
I guess someone never gave Joe the memo society hates physical contact now.

Why are old people in charge of the Internet?
Zoomers aren't exactly the solution though...

I still don't get how illegal aliens are entitled to government handouts. It's pure lunacy that that's even up for consideration, but then again many actual citizens are completely on board with the idea and favor such legislation.
White America is pretty much done. It's a brown world baby!

Conservatives lose again, gamers.

Probably makes as much sense here as anywhere else.

Remember its just a crazy tinfoil hat conspiracy theory when you notice every outlet is owned by the same group of people.

Right, now that I can focus on it, I need to point out that this is wrong but for a reason you'd easily be forgiven for not realizing.

You'll notice around 1973 all the cases were losses that, while not outright banning forced sterilization, all struck down those statutes. What happened in 1973?

Roe v. Wade.

Fun fact, Roe doesn't make abortion legal or more specifically doesn't make stopping abortion illegal. It merely places a nearly insurmountable legal barrier to any law which would. On the same side, it puts the same barrier on any law which would force sterilization. The only way that the sterilization bill in Pennsylvania could be found constitutional, would be to argue that Roe is bad law.

Is this the real reason rightoids want Roe v. Wade thrown out? Because it's a roadblock to forced sterilization?

I think he is honest! mainly because I think his brain is too fucked to lie anymore, and he's just reading off what the liars have informed him is the turth.

On land, sure. Across the sea? That's a lot of distance to traverse without getting spotted, and they know the direction it'd come from. Not to mention the fact they'd need to make a beachead despite every inch of that being more lit up than Christmas morning. Radar isn't the only way to spot things, and there are a lot of fancy toys now.
Cruise missiles have also advanced. They always had a rather small radar cross-section, now would guess it's very small indeed. Quite possible to launch from more than one direction. Would think the missiles would fly pre-programmed routes that minimize chance of being picked up on radar. About all I can say here.

I remember reading articles in The Hill about Biden’s polling, and the leftists overrunning the comments section would gloatingly say shit like “LOL BIDEN AT HIS WORST IS BLUMPFH AT HIS BEST.” Those folks were clinging to that point for peace of mind, but now Biden’s approval is sinking lower and faster than they could’ve fathomed. I look forward to the day when Trump’s approval surpasses Biden’s and their sweating asses can’t even gloat over Biden having higher approval anymore.

Also, there’s this. (Article)

What do we make of this? Are we finally seeing the pandemic wind down? If so, is this the shot in the arm (pun not intended) that the administration needs to try and turn the page on all the crises, claw back approval, and hope that people “forget”? After all, Biden ran on ending COVID. More so than the optics of being able to get up on 9/11/21 and say “THE WAR IS OVER” (which didn’t come to pass lol), Biden/dems crave being the ones to get up at the podium and say “COVID is officially over.” Or are they dishonest in their reporting of COVID numbers in the hopes of creating some desperately-needed “good news” for President Mushbrain?

I wonder what’s to come in the fall, when states like mine face cold weather and more people are indoors? Maybe a fall/winter surge? The south generally sees cases rise in summer when more people down there are spending time inside, so the pendulum could swing back to us once we start retreating indoors.

If they decide to bury COVID, it's going to be interesting. I'm sure they can just try to relabel everything as some conveniently "unrelated" respiratory syndrome but man is that going to cost them a lot in favors to keep people quiet.

I tried reading about it but gave up when I reached the point where a mentally ill Supreme Court Justice named William O. Douglas began ranting about the Bill of Rights having "emanations" and "penumbras"
