The Chinese and Japs do still hate one another, that's no secret. Japan been trying to abolish Article 9 for years and years so they can rebuild their military properly in order to counter the Chinese, it also would reduce their reliance on the United States Navy but it would still take them a decade or two to really get back up to speed.

I'm OK with certain "social-nationalistic" policies. If it's best for the nation. The nation being a group of people with common ancestry not the state.

Canceling student debt is considered a socialist policy. A socialist policy I'm for 100% because signing up an 18 year old, someone who cannot drink legally or own a gun because they aren't adult, to multiple 10s of thousands of dollars, if not hundreds, of debt that cannot be removed or erased in the current bankruptcy process is hardly different from indentured servitude if not slavery. The people who owned actual slaves knew to let their indentured servents go after 7 years.

So yes, I think nationalism is the answer. It will look different for different nations because different peoples(cultures) require different systems of goverment. That's fine. Nationalism is the answer. The good thing about it, no matter what happens, that's where we will end up. You know how you get homogenous countries right?

The modern right has become nothing but "we're against what they support," only taking solid stances on things that nobody gives a shit about regardless. Of course the modern left is also devolving into that since electing a president based upon the idea that "being against trump is a good platform," and in desperation are resorting to the same thought processes to cope with the fact that the face representing them continues to further display incompetence and weakness. Maybe nationalism is the cause that the modern right should take up, and focus on the return of national sovereignty and local rule, rather than making their entire ideology various forms of "u mad libs?"
