Congrats Mr. Garrison.

Some news from the 808, Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi, and Governor David Ige have both hinted on lifting some COVID restrictions, but it sounds like pure :optimistic: :optimistic: :optimistic: to me, as I'd expect them to pull an act of Subverting Expectations, as in either making no chances, extending the restrictions even further, or even showing inspiration from the likes of Australia, New Zealand, and Vietnam, by implementing draconian restrictions so harsh that those country's restrictions would look merciful in comparison.
Japan ended its emergency and Hawaii gets a lot of income from wealthy Japanese tourists.

My college just announced a vaccine mandate. Everyone has to be "fully vaccinated" by January 3rd, or we're shit out of luck since they're offering only a handful of online classes for us to take, meaning we wouldn't be able to get enough credits to graduate. We do have the option of filing for a medical and/or religious exemption, but it's not guaranteed that that will pass.

I'm filing for the religious exemption, obviously, but if it doesn't go through then I don't know what the hell I'll do. I have a really good scholarship for this school, practically half my tuition- I can't lose that. At the same time, though, I absolutely refuse to take the vaccine. Any time the government and the powers that shouldn't be get this fucking pushy, I'm instantly suspicious and I especially don't trust them sticking shit in me when they're suppressing information and refusing to take responsibility if things go bad. This whole nightmare isn't helped by the fact that my parents aren't exactly supportive of me standing my ground.

I don't know what to do. I'm genuinely scared for my future right now, because I'm fucked either way if the exemption doesn't pass.
Geezus, why is does it seem like everyone’s parents is super cucked and doesn’t want to support their kids who don’t want to participate in a medical experiment.

I’m so glad I killed my parents (at Mario Kart when I was a little kid).

As the wise sage said: let the past die; kill it if you have to.

That should tell you how easily and quickly a new social order can be normalised. You need an instigating event, a promise to fix it, and a "temporary" sacrifice the people can make until the fix is in, so to speak. Next thing you know, the temporary activity is permanent and everyone does it because that's how it's always been done. Nobody questions the existence of security theatre at the airports any more, for instance; they can't conceive of an alternative, because as far as they're concerned it's always been that way.

It's instructive to think about a typical day and examine how many of the things you do are because that's how everyone has always done it. Examine how many of them actually make sense in isolation.
This is why when I transferred to Idaho from California I kept my dirty ideas I learned in California in that shithole.

Additionally, I oppose ALL new gun control measures for the similar purpose.

Japan also gets some revenue from the tourists who fly ANA. Imagine how much ANA has been bleeding money since their fleet of 3 A380 were grounded in 2020. Their business model was to make profit from the high volume Tokyo <-> Honolulu route, which is already a tall order cause that's a damn big plane with high operating costs. Those A380 ain't cheap.

CDC: Only the vax'd get's to fly, fuck the rest of you!

CDC encourages holiday travel for Americans who are vaccinated

Holiday travel season is fast approaching and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says people should spend time with their families as long as everyone is vaccinated.

Robert Schneider, deputy commissioner of aviation for the town of Islip, says it's encouraging especially now that the delta variant is starting to subside a bit.

Schneider says the number of travelers has been going up significantly at MacArthur Airport. He says they expect a surge for the upcoming holiday season.

"People should feel comfortable traveling," says Schneider. "Airlines, airports, everybody has worked together to ensure that the traveling public is safe when they're flying."

MacArthur Airport now has an air purification system that runs all day. There are touchless systems throughout the terminals and other germ-killing devices to keep surfaces like door handles clean.

The O'Rourke family says they finally feel comfortable traveling again since they are vaccinated.

"In November we're going to Disney and to visit family," says Elizabeth O'Rourke, of Deer Park. "And in December we're going to Pennsylvania and New Jersey."

Airport officials say by 2022 they expect pre-pandemic traveler numbers to return.

Well well well, I wouldn't be surprised if some members of congress really used ivermectin under the table or behind the curtains.
The Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care (FLCCC) team has operated on the frontlines during the virus outbreak. FLCCC has loudly advocated for Ivermectin as an effective COVID-19 treatment.

The censorship campaign against FLCCC and Ivermectin is among the most relentless in modern history.

But the team remains steadfast promoting the use of the “miraculous” drug.

Here’s a flashback to Dr. Pierre Kory’s U.S. Senate hearing:

Fast forward to October 2021 and Ivermectin is still heavily censored in the United States.

However, the cheap drug has proven extremely effective in other countries like India and Japan.

While average Americans face a difficult task obtaining Ivermectin, are U.S. Congress members getting it on the down low?

That’s the claim relayed by the FLCCC’s Dr. Pierre Kory.

I want to emphasize this is NOT MY CLAIM. I’m merely observing and reporting on the matter.

Dr. Kory states this claim comes from a highly credible source inside Congress.

If true, this indicates somewhere between 100-200 U.S. Congress members had direct knowledge of Ivermectin’s benefits to treat COVID-19.

Sorry if this has been posted already, but what is happening in Canada is fucking insane. https://www.canada.ca/en/transport-...-transportation-employees-and-travellers.html
They are going to restrict travel for anyone not fully vaccinated. This applies to domestic travel so flying across the country or just riding a train to a nearby city will be over very soon. On top of that it also includes international flights, so myself and anyone else that has avoided vaccination will soon be trapped in the country. I can't believe this country has completely thrown out human rights for anyone hesitant to get vaccinated.
A bit of a power level on my part, but my wife is from another country and currently resides there, so I literally won't be able to see her again for an indefinite amount of time due to this mandate.

TLDR;
not respecting pronouns in Canada = human rights violation
restricting freedom of movement of citizens in Canada and separating them from family = based and Trudeaupilled

It's a weird feeling thinking I might have had my last flights ever earlier this summer. Hopefully this retardation ends but in this country I'm not gonna hold my breath

Just a random suggestion if you do have concerns and options.
I would attempt to go to your advisor or who is ever in charge of planning out your degree path. Bring up nothing that concerns medical. My first try through college I owed a bit of money later on in the semester and based on my situation they noted it was fine and either ignored or waved my past debt (given small community college and looking to server was the direction I went). Would more likely go the route of certain family issues and this coming semester might be problems for you, but where your availability to help would relieve stress they support your future and don't want to create future burdens. With this, see where or if how it will effect your scholarship and progress, use that to determine how to move forward. I would also note the field you are going into I would take that break if available look at potential other degree paths if not current that requires little to no amount of people above you or look at trade the school route. These areas tend to have people who tend to have much stronger 🤢 reaction about government compared to others, even if they work with them, from my experience. I may be wrong in when we see all the cards fall, but I would think it would be sooner than later just not before your hand is forced.
22nd is we are all vaxxed. 8th of Nov is actually when they want it done no matter what you get. So if it was changed I think they came to an understanding that it is going to be hard when we might be shut down come the start of December complete the paperwork.
The weekend is here and at least one more pay period down. Don't forget tip your waiter "I would have liked my glass to remain over half full, thank you".

Any of y'all saw this?

Im like 99.99% sure this has to be against some kind of law.

By the same logic a school could mandate gender reassignment surgery or you couldn't stay, both are medical procedures

Drive to America, fly to your wife.

Gyms are going to be the last of our problem I'm afraid. I've been thinking of signing up at last (home gyms are expensive to set up and most equipment has disappeared from shops a long time ago), but we both know more lockdowns are inevitable. And what better way to save obese people lives than shutting up gyms, locking everyone home and make everyone fatter?
