Know what's horrifying? Doing the math and it's been talked about on the tabletop community thread that the highest earning twitch channel was critical role with nine million over two years, taking in taxes and the fact they have a few dozen people on staff doing the editing and writing I would argue eleven grand a month isn't out of the realm of possibility of some of the members of the show.

I did some quick napkin math of figuring out his net cash after all his bills/taxes/etc. End up with 4000+ a month to buy his games and groceries. He wasted it all.

Oh yeah I don't think I've posted this here yet either, but I took all the available data from both leaks along with my high and low tax estimates and came up with an AFTER-tax NET income for the available months (from what I can tell there is no available tip data for 02/2021 to 04/2021?).

Basically:
1. Orange column is net revenue (after Paypal/YT fees, before taxes)
2. Red columns are WA State business tax + high and low estimates for Federal SE + personal income tax. We can't know this unless we saw his tax returns because we don't know what he claims as business expenses through the IRS.
3. Yellow column is his AFTER tax NET income range based on tax estimates.

Note that one way you can look at the tax section is if he wasn't paying his estimated taxes every month/quarter, you can add them up and that is what he would owe in a lump sum (i.e. TAX BEGATHON!!!)

Any questions or screw-ups please let me know.

Looks reasonable to me. I think he tends to end up closer to the middle of your federal tax estimates (~$20000-23000), but your numbers seem good.

At this point it is literal mental retardation. The people who give him money now know Phil's spending habits are no longer a conspiracy theory but proven fact. They know his content has taken a massive dive. They know if they cross Phil in even the slightest way, he will publicly humiliate them.

Going forward, I don't think it's fair to call Phil's supporters (and this includes people who give "troll" superchats) pay pigs. There are certain connotations with that moniker that I believe is too high brow for Phil's supporters. I know it is crazy to think such a thing but we have hit that point.

Phil's supporters are literal dent heads and retards now. There is no point in being mad at them or frustrated. They are just retarded. They don't deserve pity because they won't wake up. I think it's more a case of the sunken cost fallacy than anything else.

Imagine you're OIC. You've given Phil 20k+ dollars, and you've also spent hundreds of hours moderating his chat and preparing payops to make it seem like Phil is the most loved streamer on YouTube.

Now imagine you, OIC, find out that DSP was never in dire straits and that the trolls were always right. Phil really is a mobile game addict. He really is a guy who spends all of his money on useless shit. He really is a scammer who feigns distress.

You may think "Well, I'd just walk away". And you may be right, for some time. But what about one week later? One month? All of that money and time given to Phil, I mean, it's already been given, so what would be the problem with going back? Just for moderating, no payops or tips, definitely not!

FYI for PayPal fees prior to May 2021 when I personally started tracking, I applied a flat 8% fee to the total (it is likely closer to 6% I'd imagine but typical me will round in DSP's favor). Since I don't have the # of tips per month (just the total $ value) I can't plug it into my calculations for the flat fee.

This might be a long term thing, but Phil could regularly go therapy and change his behavior. He wouldn't have to hide in his house most of the time, block most people from commenting on his streams and website, and stop acting like a toxic piece of shit. He is narcissistic, but therapy could fix that. He could actually take control of his life and stop acting like everybody is derailing his life when he is doing it himself.

He will never go to therapy, no matter how bad things are for him. He believes that if everyone's an asshole to him, he's just being too nice.

Even if someone could force him to go, he wouldn't benefit from it at all. He doesn't think there's anything wrong with what he does. He lives by the mindset of "I did nothing wrong". You can't help someone who can't help themselve.
